The Konpaku [Read Fully before Commenting]

The Konpaku started as a small group of nomadic herders located on the eastern slopes of Verde Island in the Western Element Archipelago. A group with no religion it was often hard to get the services of local churches and hospitals without being asked to convert into the areas selected religion. As such many often questioned why the group had no religion, the group had morals, and well being like any other group. But the group stayed away from religion as to seem attractive to others who did not want to convert.

As time passed and new leaders came upon the group, murmurs of a new happening in the southern part of the island began to pass the group. Electing two of their best marksmen for the journey, the duo set off to check it out. Time passed and the duo were eventually forgotten about only whispers of their supposed heroic deaths still remained. Then after four months of travel the duo returned, but the air they brought back with them, seemed, unnatural. The duo explained their absence and requested the rest of them to follow, their bodies straight on their horses and their eyes deftly brighter than before. Their skin was a bit paler in comparison to before but the weapons that they carried with them, were like none ever seen before.

The two swiftly made promises of a better life in the south, a life in which they would no longer have to travel about, then they told of a religion, a true religion, where there were no rules and regulations that they had to follow. Only to show appreciation of their god by doing the things they did already. The duo easily swayed the masses garnering choruses of nods from everyone around them as they lead the march back. When everyone arrived they immediately noticed how dark it was in the southern area's of the island, for even in the brightness of noon, it was as dark as a brand new midnight. The nomads were hesitant to enter but seeing the duo enter the strange land without a second hesitation quickly calmed their fears.

The lands around them seemed dead almost, trees stripped of life, strange animals scurried about, their bellies stripped of all substance as though they were starved. Fear and worry began to settle into the nomads hearts until they reached their destination. Looming above the masses like a massive pillar of darkness, sat the temple of the god of death. The Holy Shinigami Shrine, it was named later on was a magnificent piece of art, only surpassed by the Yamikage Tower that stood beside it hundreds of years later.

The duo knelt before the shrine their backs to the group and their foreheads touching the dead soil. They prayed in an unknown tongue, strange and foreign to the masses ears. But their words carried the same sorrows as those of a passing relative and friend, and along with that sorrow came an almost chilling, rasping sound, as though someone had decided to drag a length of rusty chain across a decayed grave site. Darkness began to melt from the shrine and pool before the duo as a figure merely rose out of it, its form giving no clues to whether it was male or female, nor friendly or hostile. It merely confounded the masses forcing them to step back from the trio as the figure finally rested into its final shape. A head, the size of a small boulder was revealed first, chiseled and precise as were its bodily features, standing before them wrapped in length of black cloth that covered its entire body stood, The Shinigami.

A soft smile graced his lips as he gazed upon the herders, his eyes glinting in satisfaction of what his two followers had managed to accomplish. They had managed to double what they had promised him, in only a few months, and he was not one to ignore good work. "Rise my two disciples", he spoke coolly, his voice, barely a whisper in audible volume, sounded like a booming baritone to those around him. "You two have done well in your quest to spread the word that I have created, and as such you will be rewarded greatly. These gifts will be bestowed upon everyone here, should they past the test to cope it. These tests vary from being to being, and will most likely kill those not worthy of passing...".

The herders flinched at this, though some slowly came around to nodding with the gods words, his sugary tongue, coating their minds and ears with his words as he spoke to them about the powers of his faith, his true power and name. He spoke to them about the dedication, and will it took to be part of the faith, and the undying servitude that came with it. Then he spoke about the strength and happiness that came to those who followed his faith, trusting him would be like trusting Kami in making their lives better. And with each of his words, more and more drifted into the thought of joining, then without a virtual moment of hesitation, a group collection of thought clicked, and at that moment, the Konpaku were born.

The Konpaku thrived under their god, never once leaving, never once accepting outside religions to stay in their domain, never once changing the landscape. They farmed the land given to them and built houses of darkness to avoid destroying the land they had. Eventually whispers of a new art reached the people of faith along with the whispers of a power source called chakra. The god, already knowing of this mysterious power instructed them in it, teaching each one how to use it like they would a sickle or hoe. The group quickly grasped the gods natural element having been given the element upon joining the faith. Soon the group had not only grown in numbers but strength as well, and being a group of ninjas, decided to create the second ninja village in the Element Archipelago, The Village Hidden in the Darkness.

Hundreds of years passed and the village thrived, a caste system was set in place and the religions numbers skyrocketed. Being a religion meant that anyone could join in, and thus diversify the entire area, however joining came with a price. To prevent the other gods from tampering with his safe haven of followers, the Shinigami made one simple add in to the powers of the faith, the power to cleanse. By joining the faith, all traits of other gods or demons was erased, and instead replaced with those of the Shinigami, this meant all bloodline traits, doujutsu, and bodily enhancements, along with any elemental manipulation bloodlines, were gone. This however did not affect non bloodline elements and advanced elemental traits that those were born with and readily accepted into the cult. As such the god kept his flock pure and taint free, for at least the moment.

The other gods noticed the Shinigami's tampering with the Human Realm and sought out a way to end this perverse action, however to prevent the Shinigami from foiling their plans, the each chose one of their groups of followers and chose one person in each to become what would be later known as, The League of Champions. Trained for years in secret the group were known all along the island for their strength and dedication to the religions. Their strength reached the Shinigami's ears through the new recruits however and he became infuriated and created two sole champions of his own. He trained them in everything he knew, eventually teaching them the sacred art of death, the soul reaping itself. This last trait was passed to the group unbeknown to the god and quickly became a way of honoring their god.

The cults numbers soared with new recruits as the calls for war were sounded out, the village was tense and ready as were their champions. However when the day came for the battle, none woke from their slumber. Instead they were mass murdered in their sleep by the champions, drifting from one house to the next quietly and setting each house on fire as they went, the murdered perhaps four hundred individuals before the call was sounded and battle began. However they were swarmed by the remaining persons waiting outside who quickly joined in the fray, causing the entire area to become a battlefield. Bent on saving those who could not fight, the village leaders began the evacuation call sending the remaining living children, civilian women, and elders into hiding while the fighting continued.

In the end, the god decided to destroy his place of haven, opting to destroy it all, even with those of his faith inside. His followers understood his sadness, and held the borders preventing any of the enemies from escaping as the god summoned a massive portal to the shadow realm, and sunk the village into the portal. The champions, in a last ditch effort to survive, pooled their collective powers together to try and stop the god, but were foiled when one of their own was corrupted by one of the Konpaku in an act to cancel out the attack. The Champion turned on his friends and drew his blade and in a fit of confused rage, raised it to his comrades. The others looked in fear as he drove it through each and every one of them leaving only two alive aside from himself before smiling happily as he brought the blade to his neck and slit it open leaving a gaping gash.

The two remaining Champions watched in horrror in what had just happened before them as the gates to the Shadow Realm popped open around them releasing the beasts of terror, the beasts tearing through everyone, Konpaku or otherwise, without abandon before descending on the two Champions. The fighting had quickly escalated into a bloodbath as the elders who watched the scene from the hill tops created a single hand seal and sunk the buildings into the ground, hundreds of years of history gone in a few deranged hours as whatever was left had been brought with them.

The Konpaku returned to their normal nomadic routine, opting to pay tribute to their god every time they were around the southern edge of the island. The Cult still continues this today, even though the event happened twenty years ago.

   This jutsu is begun by the users gathering their darkness chakra into a shadow near their body, preferably their own shadow or hopefully a shadow near their target. The user then builds up the amount of darkness in that shadow until it is completely black showing that the area is now charged with darkness energy. The user then shifts to a dragon seal and focuses on the energy morphing it into a pillar or block. The user then solidifies the block while lifting it into the air over their opponent. Designed by the clan for the purpose of transportation over large distances, its treated almost like an advanced elemental Shunshin. The user begins this jutsu by formulating three handseals while holding the last one, a horse seal. The user will then gather their darkness chakra into the shadows around them causing them to collect and pool beneath the user forming a sort of "portal" or "doorway".
   
   The user then imagines the darkness below them as such and begins to sink and or step into the darkness. Once the user is completely submerged the portal closes behind them and opens up in another location. This location must have shadows or darkness or the user will be trapped in the shadow portal until an opening can be found. The best method is to think about the destination before hand to prevent this from happening.
   
   This jutsu can only be used with destinations that the user has either been to or seen. Meaning without traveling there, or seeing a picture of their destination, the portal will not open and the user will be trapped inside until another location can be thought of. This jutsu cannot be used to escape from sealed rooms, chambers etc.
   
   Another feature of this jutsu allows the user to travel to the Shadow Realm, a realm made completely of darkness and inhabited by twisted grotesque beings. Every darkness user has the ability to travel to the darkness realm however every darkness user has their own piece of the shadow realm and can't travel to another person's section of the realm. This prevents overlapping realms and intrusions however beasts and natural denizens of the realm are free to travel as they please.
   
   The user can not use this jutsu to travel outside of topics. However they can travel to the shadow realm and back to their original location in the same topic. This jutsu can only be used once per topic.

   Description: A darkness release jutsu utilized by the Konpaku Clan. This jutsu is an advanced form of the Shadow Clone Jutsu. Utilizing the darkness around them, the user will bring their hands into two distinct seals before holding the last seal as pools of darkness extended from the users shadow, or the surrounding patches of darkness. These pools will become perfectly circular before extending upwards like mutating pools of sludge, slowly forming into the shape of the user.
   
   The clones will resemble the user perfectly and will hold a quarter of the users remaining chakra. The clone can then use any of the users jutsu, weapons, or items, as well as form other clones. Each clone is able to take up to five hits before dispersing, however with each jutsu used the clone will lose a bit of their stamina, and thus becoming weaker making it easier for them to be destroyed. Once destroyed all of the memories and remaining chakra will return to the user. Like the Shadow Clone jutsu this technique can be used to speed up training.

Used extensively to build the village of Darkness, this jutsu allows the user to build buildings completely out of darkness. These buildings can be shaped however the user feels, however the larger and more customized the building is, the more chakra it will take. These buildings are not permanent, and once the flow of chakra inside is used up the buildings will collapse. The buildings will need an D-rank amount of chakra for each post that they are standing and will absorb the chakra from everyone inside for each post that they are inside, excluding the first post.
   
   The Genjutsu side of this technique is known as the trap house technique. Utilizing the Dark Buildings Jutsu the user will lure their opponent into the building and knowingly trap them there. Once inside the user will begin to feel tired and relaxed as though experiencing a state of nirvana. The user will then collapse the house around their opponent trapping them completely.
   
   C-Rank: A basic 1-2 story building, no furniture, or any other added extras. Can be used multiple times to mass produce houses.
   
   B-Rank: A basic 3-4 story building, or modified 1-2 story. If a 3-4 story it can be used multiple times to mass produce houses, if a 1-2 story building it can only be used once and only be used to add up to 3 customizable items.

Those with chakra view doujutsu will be blinded during the usage of this jutsu. Visibility for those without a chakra viewing doujutsu will be reduced to five feet around their persons. 9. Name: Ninpou: Myou Seizui Gaijo - Ninja Art: Dark Essence Removal

   Description: Not to be confused with the name, this jutsu has nothing to do with darkness or dark souls. This is the secret clan technique that was created by the two champions of the shinigami, and was then taught to the remaining members of the Konpaku Clan. This jutsu can only be preformed after the opponent is dead and is only effective the post after the opponent dies. The user begins this jutsu by settling near the death of their opponent before bowing their head in prayer. The soul will become visible to the user second after the prayer has began. Using their weapon of choice, the user will then stab through the the soul with their weapon offering it up to their god in return for continued blessings. This jutsu gives no benefits to the user however if the user is mentally weaker than their opponent their opponent can push the users soul out of their body and take over their body instead.

   [b]Description:[/b] Not to be confused with the name, this jutsu has nothing to do with darkness or dark souls. This is the secret clan technique that was created by the two champions of the shinigami, and was then taught to the remaining members of the Konpaku Clan. This jutsu can only be preformed after the opponent is dead and is only effective the post after the opponent dies. The user begins this jutsu by settling near the death of their opponent before bowing their head in prayer. The soul will become visible to the user second after the prayer has began. Using their weapon of choice, the user will then stab through the the soul with their weapon offering it up to their god in return for continued blessings. This jutsu gives no benefits to the user however if the user is mentally weaker than their opponent their opponent can push the users soul out of their body and take over their body instead.

It protects from jutsu detecting what his facial features look like and prevent different types of doujutsu from getting an accurate discription. This jutsu does not completly nullifly doujutsu or jutsu that look through objects, it merely distorts the image. This mask lasts for seven of the users posts after activation. The user can change what it looks like at whim via a genjutsu. The user can also remove the mask and allow throw the darkness chakra into another person's face.

Once another ninja gets near it or tampers with it, the darkness diperses, creating an effective smoke (darkness) screen covering a radius of ten feet. Once the darkness is dispersed it can be used by the Konpaku user to create an illusion via genjutsu or create another ninjutsu attack.

This owl can move about and has the ability to meld back with the user, thus relaying all knowledge it sees.    Description: Under the cover of night the user can create the illusion of a deep pit within the ground, once an opponent falls in the shadows will claw and rip of the person within, the damage is not physical but the mental pain of multiple shadow demons ripping at your flesh while trapped in a bottomless pit where you cannot climb out. This jutsu is activated when a cloud of darkness is put infront of your face, thus allowing the genjutsu to set in.
   
   One Post: A low, grumble and a cacophony of demonic laughter fills your ears, you do not know where or what it comes from as something touches you from behind.
   
   Third Post: Multiple hands appear from the wall and grab you, holding you down into the pit. They claw at your skin and attempt to rip you, all while laughing an a harmonious symphony.
   
   Fifth Post: Full Demons have formed, buring you alive in their weight. Finally now peeling your flesh from your body and slowly licking away your blood. They start to eat your eyeballs and picking your brain as they scalp you with their fangs and peel your head open like melon. The mental stress is so great that you eventually die.
