Final Round!

The greatest tournament of the ninja world was about to come to an end. Somehow, Yakate had made it into the finals by only winning a single battle. Double promotion rocks...

The battlefield; a plain grassy fields, with scattered trees here and there. A single stream of water was flowing off in the distance. So basically, this was the most open battlefield imaginable. The sun was blocked off by clouds; no abusing the sun here. Also, it seemed as if it would rain anytime now; hopefully, it wouldn't. It would be so much harder for him to fight.

The three righters were arranged in a triangle, diagonally apart from eachother. The distance between them? Twenty meters. If there was a line connecting the three, they would have made a giant equilateral triangle upon the grass; they were even sixty degrees apart from eachother in angle-distance.

The nearest tree was right behind Maru; the other trees were at least ten meters away from both Yakate and Kaisui. The river was about fifty meters away from Yakate's back.

A soft breeze flew through the area, sending Yakate's soft hair streaming to his left; this battle was going to be... devastating. he could almost guarantee, the reason for choosing such an open field, was because choosing an enclosed field would render it destroyed automatically. Each and every one of his foes had massive chakra levels. They had a fierce reputation; Yakate remembered Maru to be the Uchiha clone that had assaulted his village. The other shady character, was a well-known outlaw in the past, who had disappeared suddenly; somehow, he was invited to participate in the tournament that would decide the greatest ninja in the whole world...

Yakate brushed his feet on the ground. A huge, wavy pile of sand was directly beneath him, on the ground; sand that he had invoked to follow him here. There was enough sand to make a piece of flat paper, thirty meters long and thirty meters wide. Upon meeting with his foot, a pleasantly crunching sound filled the sky.

He felt an instability of chakra inside each of his foes, they were itching for a fight. Smiling slightly, he blinked, and clenched his fingers shut. Another soft breeze passed through; before the wind died off, Yakate briskly created an egg-shell of sand around him. He was covered with sand; stupid... He dropped off the upper half of sand, which fell around him; a broken egg-shell shape of sand was now covering him. He reinfoced the layers of sand around him for further defensive purposes.

The breeze of wind died out. Yakate had fulfilled his primary needs for battle; the only way he could possible succeed in this battle was by playing defensively. And his best defensive tactic now would be... yeah. Exactly.

A huge sheet of sand was still surrounding him, covering a radius of five meters. Just like training... he sent a surge of chakra to pressurize the sand, thus melting the ground beneath it into sand as well. At the first sight of danger, that sand would seal his enemy into the sand; snap, just like that. So anyone five meters near to him was decapitated instantly... Not to mention he now had a large volume of sand. Pah...

Description: The user focuses his/her chakra into a body of sand. The pressure of chakra upon that sand literally melts the surface beneath it, converting it to sand as well; that is, if the surface underneath the sand was ground. Whenever any object or person lays foot on that body of sand, he/she will sink into it, draining it down to the greatest extent, being that only the victim's head is visible.

Alright then; the battle had now advanced to a stage where there was only two participants... and the people were still awaiting a single movement. No one had moved a bit since the darker, younger opponent started emanating a strange, dark aura. Yakate still had a huge field of soft-sand all around him. He could just wait for his opponent to try something; or, force him to do something.

Yakate was standing straight, arms folded over his chest, with a field of sand all around him. He looked so vulnerable; yet his defenses were now at their peak... almost. Not even near almost, actually, just powerfully defended.

His right hand started shuffling against his upper left arm. He drew out six, hard metal shuriken. Sharp-edged and small; but still just average shuriken. His arms dropped beside him, six shuriken coolly hanging against his right hand. With a jerky thrust, he threw each of the shuriken against Kai, intending the shuriken to surround him by all sides.

... Unfortunately, his aim was still pathetically terrible. Out of the six shuriken, two went sideways, to the left and right of his target. The rest randomly flew straight towards the target, while one of them just flew to the northwest, completely off target. Waste of shuriken...

A ninja with guns? Now that was interesting. For a moment Yakate sadly reminisced upon the fact that Sunagakure was still lacking in modern technology; he secretly planned to go for a world tour sometime later. A quest for things that would improve the standards of Sunagakure ninja.

And again, he had let his concentration waver. Not only had his shuriken been blocked, the blocking weapon had also been used against him; a single shell of the gun was soaring towards him. A single bullet; how to block that? He may have been fast enough to run away and dodge; but that would be improbable. He could try to use keen eyes and catch the shell, like a legendary ninja, but that was also, so very improbable. Or make a barrier? The most simple action possible to think of? Well... yeah. Do that then.

The bullet speeding towards Yakate promptly met a thick wall of sand. This sand was connected to the sand laying on the ground; how had it risen? Sand manipulation of course. The bullet moved forwards a few centimeters, pushing through the ranks of continuous sand. Eventually, it... did not fall! What Yakate had just remembered was that the sand around him was nearly liquid; soft and supple, meant for sinking down to the ground! The bullet might slow down, but not totally stop! Panic mode, on...

The bullet broke through the sand barrier, considerably slower than usual. Luckily, it was amazingly slower than before, less than half as violent. The bullet crashed into Yakate's chest, right at the center of his ribs. But not with enough force to pierce through skin, flesh, and bone!

Nevertheless, the single shell was powerful. And damaging. A stinging pain shot through Yakate's chest; something that would eventually die out. The shell dropped to the ground, and disappeared under the sand beneath his feet. A soft voice excaped from his lips;

"Ouchies..."

His raised his left arm to rub his chest, firectly on the spot where he had been hit. The pain was steadily rising, irritating, like a virus. His right arm rose in front of him, maintaining that protruded sand wall in front of him, The small hole created by the rushing bullet mended itself, immediately after the bullet passed through. Although he originally intended not to let his opponent know that his bullet had hit, it was rather obvious it did. Embarassing.

Dropping his right arm, his left and right arm conjoined themselves, performing several, continuous hand-seals, directly in front of himself. After a few seconds, the final hand-seal was complete. The wall of sand in front of him shifted and stirred, and broke down into about fifty dull, gold-colored shuriken. Spinning in the air, they locked down upon their target; Yakate's opponent. Each of them flew straight towards the young yet powerful shinobi, with as much speed and force as a regular shuriken, thrown by his own hand.

... Of course, if he had good enough reflexes, he could simply shoot down each of the shuriken. Not to mention that his aim was so terrible, about half the shuriken went north, west, and south of the intended target... Ah well, 25 shuriken would do.

The wall of sand disapparated, since it was used totally to create the 50 shuriken. Yakate's hands were still locked in that final hand-seal; he had nothing better to do at the moment, since he did not know his opponent's full capacity yet...

Description: The user performs several handsigns, then, from any body of sand, manipulates the sand into a large number of shuriken. These shuriken are the equivalent of normal shuriken, same damage and effect.

Jonin: 80 shuriken
Kage: 240 shuriken

Deep within thought about his opponent Kai fails to notice the incoming sand shuriken until it's too late to dodge them completely so instead he twirls his body so that they would all hit in a none vital area and do minimum damage. After being hit Kai notices how out of 50 shuriken only half actually flew in their intended direction. He also notice a similar problem with his opponents previous attack. While the evil prodigy was noticing and analyzing this, the lightning dancing on his skin went to work destroying the sand made shuriken before disappearing once the job was done.

"Hmm, I wonder if you aim is truly this atrocious or is this a clever ploy so strategically and discretely set the stage for a more devastating jutsu should you need it Yakate?" Kai thought within his mind.

Not willing to take the chance, Kai puts away his gun reflecting a cloudy sky and begins channeling chakra into the gun reflecting the ocean. After some a minute the guns own chakra recognizing it's owners chakra bubbles up to the surface and begins forming and orb of water around its self as well as Kai's left hand wish is holding it. Kai then trains his aim on Yakate.

"Now lets see what you're made of kid." Kai says to the older boy.

Now with a gaint orb of swirling water around his hand, Kai would allow his dark aura to resurf for a brief moment. Recognizing that it's its owner's darker personality in control the gun than pulses and the water begins to freeze up combining with the sparks of dark lightning from Kai's aura. Once his lightning was conducted into the freezing water Kai pulled the trigger releasing the orb of electrically charged freezing water at his opponent.

Satisfying thuds showed him that his shuriken had met his mark... half of them, they did. he could never get his aim proper, it was only a fluke when he passed his Genin exams. Maybe with increased age, his eyesight would improve... wait. Eyesight lessens with age. Damn...

But that wasn't it. His opponent had two guns. Not one. That was new. Guns were new in itself, but wielding two? Powerful weapons, they were; the shells they shot were more lethal than shuriken or kunai, if used properly that is. But this time, he wasn't going to shoot him. He was trying to use a jutsu. A jutsu similar to the "Menacing Ball" technique, unique to only jinchùriki. But he was no jinchùriki; this jutsu shouldn't be as fatal as the original.

... He was wrong. It was similar to the Menacing Ball. Not exact. The gun seemed to be able to channel chakra; one gun, infused with chakra, began bubbling with chakra, and an orb of hot water formed around him, expanding greatly to consume his opponent's left hand. A dark chakra seemed to emit from his enemy, a further pulse of chakra seeped into the orb of water. It almost froze up; the temperature was not low enough. Also, the orb seemed to flow with electrivity; even freezing water was a conductor of electricity. And that was his attack? ... Most definitely, it was. Confirmed by the fact that a loud crack filled the air when it went soaring towards Yakate.

Approaching front Yakate's right; being shot from the gun in his enemy's left hand. The time it took him to create the Freezing Orb let Yakate formulate an easy plan to dodge it; or at least, counter it. Either jump or run; Yakate could do both easily. Aim may be a weak spot, but his speed, agility, flexibility; his strong sides.

With nimble toes, he took a swift, great leap towards the left, a jump that went as far as ten meters. Powerful legs aided him to do so. The orb of freezing water swept through the air, missing the ground by a few feet, just sweeping along by the spot, formerly the spot of where Yakate's footing was.

His body arched to the left, converging oddly with his left-sided jump; his feet slid him to a stop, as he stood upright again. His arms were pitched forwards, in an offensive stance. His slide made dust rise in the air; unimportant features to be noticed. His face slid to a grin, as he extended his left arm forward, placing his right hand on his upper-left arm.

With quick, rapid slides, he swiped his right hand up and down his left arm five times. His arm ignited, and five thick streaks of fire, each the length of his arm, went flying torwards his enemy, going only slightly faster than a thrown shuriken. Each of the five went soaring torwards his opponent.

Annoyingly, his aming was still terrible. What had meant to be his sole target was his enemy's chest. His five indivisual targets turned out to be; the head, lower-left leg, and the stomach of his enemy. The rest went north-west of his intended target, and south-east; completely off target once more. Only targets, his head, stomach, and left leg... meh.

Thinking quickly Kai rolls to his right and manages to avoid his opponents counter attack.

"Hmm, so your aim is atrocious but you make up for it in speed and jutsu. Ok! Good, looks like I won't get bored. But maybe I should try to end this quickly before my other half decides he wants control back." thought Kai

Once Kai is back on his feet, he shoots three rapid shoots at his opponent before shooting the ground bringing up a smoke screen. Under the cover of smoke Kai flashes thru seals before creating two lightning clones.

After doing so the real Kai than taps into Alastor's granted abilities and takes flight and aligns himself perfectly with the sun so that to see him, you'd have to gaze directly at the sun which will blind you giving him an added avantage. The real Kai than cocks back his right arm as if to punch some and flashes thru one handed seals. Soon lightning begins to gather and crackle in the palm of his hand as he channels some of his chakra thru it.

While the real Kai is at work so it his two clones get to work as well with one clone working on a complex set of seals while the other dashes off out towards his opponent using to fifths of his natural speed and out of the cover of smoke opening rapid fire of normal bullets on his opponent Yakate.

OOC: Sorry for late reply, I was lazy. e____e... And I am not dsiqualified. o_o Not posting for 7 days is disqualification, I didn't post for 6. xD

Another fail. He wasn't even worried about his aim now; it was something that characterized him. As did his speed and flexibility.

His opponent nimbly rolled to his right to dodge each of his burning projectiles. Doing so, he...

Once Kai is back on his feet, he shoots three rapid shoots at his opponent before shooting the ground bringing up a smoke screen.

More impressive gunmanship, remarkable for his age; although the same could be said for himself. Three swirling shells drove towards him, shattering air resistance as they flew towards him. But the distance that they had to travel; the time they took to travel it, gave him more than enough time to think of a proper counter-attack.

He could simple maneouver out of the path of the bullets, but that would be so... uneventful and dull. Despite that, he did dodge the shells by jumping to the side; to his left in, particular.

A smokescreen rose from the air, hiding his enemy's body from view. This was either intentional or accidental. But the best way to utilize his blindness was to take advantage of it. Who knows what he was doing concealed behind the smoke; Yakate had his own plans. He flashed through quick hand-seals, as he was well-known for, and created two clones out of sand. Yes; the sand that was lying on his former spot had trailed all the way beneath his feet; theur movement causing the sand to lose it's near-liquid properties.

Two clones; three Yakates in total. One original, two copies. Each standing parallel to eachother, in a straight line.

From behind the smokescreen, three figures swept out. One jumped high into the sky, attempting to use the sun to his advantage; the sun under which Yakate and his friends had so painfully lived under, in the desert. Staring into it would truly be difficult; Yakate was only used to it's incinerating heat.

The two others?

While the real Kai is at work so it his two clones get to work as well with one clone working on a complex set of seals while the other dashes off out towards his opponent using to fifths of his natural speed and out of the cover of smoke opening rapid fire of normal bullets on his opponent Yakate.

One preparing a jutsu, the other trying to thrash him with rapidfire. But which one? There were three. The real Yakate was in the center; rather prominent, no? The other to standing like sentinels beside him. Shooting them would only result in a bullet stuck in sand. Also; a mere clone shooting at him would do virtually nothing; the bullets were made of lightning chakra, the sand would only ground it, render it ineffective.

If, however, the one shooting at him was real; he was in for a whole lot of pain.

Again, the clone at the back; what exact jutsu was it trying to use? Fake or real; it would be an actual jutsu, albeit imperfect.

And the one in the air? He couldn't even see what he was doing. But he could sense a disturbance in it's chakra. It was obvious that he was a master of Raiton.

The immediate threats were the clone in the air, and the one shooting at him. The one preparing hand-seals may be performing a fatal jutsu; however, it would be imperfect, and possible to live through. It was three on three, two clones on each side, one original on each side. Neither side knowing which was a clone and which was real.

Side one, Yakate's side, were aligned straight, parallel to eachother.

Side two, his enemy's side, were scattered about. One was in the air, dropping rapidly with the force of gravity on his side. One was charging at him rather slowly, shooting at him profusely. The last was on the ground, behind the charging clone, making complex hand-seals for a jutsu.

... The only option available to Yakate was to counter.

One of his sand clones charged straight into the lightning clone that was shooting at him. His sand-body would not only absorb each of the bullets, but also ground the lightning inside the clone's body once it came into contact with it. Of course, the charging clone was not using it's full speed; where the sand clone was. Therefore, this was not a difficult task. The sand clone would have exploded for sheer electric charge; but sand could ground any current; lightning was virtually useless against it. There was still possibilty for it to be destroyed in the process, though. But missing the lightning clone? That would be a shame. Especially if that particular clone was the real one.

Simultaneously, the real Yakate charged towards the lightning clone that was performing hand-seals. As he ran, a whip of sand followed him, rising out from the sand directly behind him. This whip extending forward faster than Yakate himself, and slammed itself into the clone making hand-seals. Being the real Yakate, his speed was considerably faster than his own sand clone; the lightning clone would have a slim chance to slip out of his attack, since it was making complex hand-seals during his assault. Only luck would tell him whether it was a clone or real.

The remaining clone was an open target for the clone that was in the air. He was dropping rapidly; not amazingly fast, but fast anyway, the force of gravity allowing him further fighting force. A clone couldn't counter an attack of that calibur. That was what he trained a certain special technique for. Clone or not, quicksand would certainly decapitate the foe. At the loss of the clone itself. An improvised version of the attack; a sand clone could simply grind itself into the sand below it, creating the proper chasm in the ground and liquid-like sand necessary for his 'quicksand' effect.

The clone immediately sunk into the sand. Slowly but surely, the sand began expanding downwards into the ground. The sand clone literally melted into the ground, forming a strange, watery sand surface. It was deep enough to trap someone to their knees; for this for, upto their thighs. The surface beneath the clone was now completely quicksand. A frail version of it, though; the quicksand couldn't decapitate a foe, only immobilize. Unless the clone in the air could fly in mid-air, it was impossible to escape this fate.

As the first lightning clone and sand clone collided the both went up in an explosion of sand and lightning.

Noticing his first clones destruction thereal Kai didn't even bother with and instead now held a fully charged Raikiri in his right hand. Noticing he was descending he quickly stopped his descent and flew back into alignment with the sun. Once realigned he simply floats there and begin a short set of seals. On the last seal lightning begins to pulse out around his being. Now with both his Raikiri and Chidori Current Kai gets ready to make his move and turns to his second clone to make sure it was doing its part.

Finishing his seals just as Yakate makes his move the clone quickly back flips twenty meters back causing the of sand to miss its attack and have to stretch out further if it intends to hit him as well as Yakate whether it's the real or clone to have to travel a farther distance hif he hopes to hit his target and slams his left palm on the ground as if going to summon and shouts "HELL FROZEN OVER'

Name: Chidori Current
Type: Ninjutsu, Kenjutsu

Description: A variation on a regular Chidori Kaisui uses, this jutsu allows the user to generate non-focused electrically charged chakra from his body, instead of concentrating it in his hand. Because the electricity isn't focused, it doesn't kill on contact, instead only paralyzing its victims. By sending the current into the ground Kaisui can stun opponents from a distance. Kaisui can also channel the electricity through metallic weapons like his swords, increasing their cutting power, as well as making body parts numb by cutting them.

Description: A fire style jutsu created by Kaisui, that creates a thick mist that begins to seep out the ground in front of him that spans out 30 meters before igniting into icy blue flames that would dance around before freezing in place than heating up and resume the dance at 2 minute intervals after flashing thru the need seals and placing any of his palms on the ground as if summoning.

Description: The Lightning Blade is an enhanced form of the Chidori with the same effects and drawbacks, but more concentrated. Because the Chidori is already powerful on its own, the Lightning Blade requires better chakra control, which is exemplified in its appearance. The Chidori appears as simply a mass of white electrical chakra in the user's hand, while the Lightning Blade is more focused and blue.

OOC: Eh. o.o If you have two guns in your hands, how do you create the chidori? @.@;; And more importantly, how do you perform hand-seals with guns in your hands? xD

Plues, you just used an A-rank and S-rank jutsu together, and made your clone perform another A-rank jutsu. o-o That in itself, is extremely exhausting for a 13 year old boy. o-o...

His three-pronged assault was only successful at one prong. He completely destroyed one of his targets, while destroying his own clone in the process. His other clone that had sunk into sand was useless, since it turned out his opponent could fly in mid-air. And his own attack?

His target had taken a massive leap backwards, and, upon completing it's hand-seals, slammed it's palms to the ground to perform a jutsu. A thick mist began spreading out from that spot, rapidly advancing outwards, in a circular shape. Instinctively, Yakate dropped his whip of sand, and, after a powerful self-brake, took a few quick leaps backwards, powerful jumper as he was. The clone was exactly twenty meters away from him; and the mist began spreading on and on, thirty meters away from him. Yakate was about ten meters away from the reach of the mist; a mist which ignited into icy blue flames.

He could feel both his clones to be non-existant by now, with a pile of quicksand a few meters away from him. High in the sky, a dark outline inf ront of the bright sun; his opponent seemed to be flying with both his hands sparkling with electricity. He was about to strike.

A quick analysis of the battlefield.

His opponent (or a clone of him) was about forty meters away from Yakate, with a fiery mist spreading away from him. The mist was thick, burning, and spread as far as thirty meters. A pile of sand lay under the mist; which might come in handy later on.

A few meters behind Yakate was a small lump of quicksand, with a larger body of actual sand around it.

Directly above Yakate, in perfect alignment with the sun, was his opponent (or his clone), with two dangerous bolts of lightning surging in his hands. With such intensity the sun shone; Yakate couldn't look at him with a straight face. And he was about to make a quick descent towards Yakate; fatally wounding him in the process. If it made contact, that is.

But again, sand could easily ground electricity. No matter what form it may be in. As long as the sand was connected to the ground, the current would be completely negated and useless. The extreme amount of chakra put into creating the two masses of lightning would be put to waste. And without much trouble, at that.

Trying to make as much use of the short time span between his opponent attacking; Yakate covered himself with a large, bubble-like covering of sand, taken from the sand that was a few meters away from him. Luxuriously, the sandy space Yakate was hidden in was large enough to accomodate at least ten people. And so he did. While he was hidden in that strange contraption of sand, he made nine fire clones. If his opponent managed to break through the wall of sand above him, he would most probably crash into a fire clone, making it explode with a mild burst, and thus trigger a powerful chain-explosion. Yakate would be affected to; but since he was used to his own katon chakra, it would be more effective against his opponent.

A dome of sand covering Yakate, shielding him from view, while ten 'Yakate's were under that dome of sand. Only one was real, the rest fire clones. Yakate was directly in the center, with fire clones surrounding him left and right. There was no guarantee that his opponent would strike in the exact center of the sand dome; even if he did, he could create a sacrificial clone to save him; abuse of the replacement technique.

OOC: Firstly the one using guns was destroyed and was a clone. The other two left were not using guns. However it is possible to do handseals with a weapon in your hand(s) depending on your skill level with said weapon and handseal speed.

Secondly I know what I'm doing when it comes to the jutsu I'm using because I have a high chakra and stamina level because of my bloodline however you do make a good point tho I haven't over looked that. But had you not jump the gun so to speak you'd would've seen how that would play into effect here without it looking forced now that you pointed it out. For a hint on how this will play out look at my bloodline my actual post will be posted once you reply here that you looked at my bloodline so that it can't be said I was godmodding

By reading over this battle, I would determined that this fight is over due to Kai not posting in awhile and this battle not concluding.

I would say that: "Yakate is the winner"

o-o Yaka wins in my opinion and following the rules. o-o So, I'd say "congratulations~"
