| I would stand there and look out upon the empty space and then make my announcement, hoping someone would hear. I stood there with a microphone and a sigh, pretending someone was there, and that they might be interested as they came walking through the door. I spoke with the same cheerful yet lonely voice, as if I didn't know what to say or do, but it turned out nicely, my little speech.
"Hello all, thank you for coming really, I appreciate it." It was if I was trying to tell a joke though hearing no one laugh. "Well the reason I have called you all here, is I have decided to throw a holiday party.. Christmas and a new year is awaiting us, the future is in our hands. This will be the best party ever. Thank you, you all are too kind." I said walking away and going to decorate. There was lots of things to do if we were going to be ready for this party in time. | |
