Appearance: Karin has short brown hair. She has black eyes. Her face often looks like she is afraid or something. Karin wears dark green shirt with her right shoulder uncovered. Under that she wears another shirt. It is seen there where her shoulder is uncovered. Karin also wears light black skirt with dark green tight shorts. Her ninja tool bag is placed on her right hip. She is quite short and slim. That sometimes gives her extra advantage in battle.

~Birth/Childhood
Karin was born in Sunagakure. Her father and mother were both medical ninja. Karin also had a bigger sister when she was born. Her sister was a genius in Ninjutsu. She had ability to control crystal and thus Karin's sister was quite feared. Karin had very good relationship with her sister and her bigger sister often trained her. Karin wanted to become a ninjutsu expert also. When she was around 6 years old she discovered her ability to control crystal (Bloodline). It made Karin really happy that she had similarities with her sister. Even tough Karin was shy and often was afraid to go talk with people she made some good friends.

~Academy
Karin joined Academy when she was 7 years old, little later after discovering her ability to control crystal. In Academy she also had quite many friends because of her good nature and she didn't argue much. Karin was quite talented in Academy and had good grades. She could have had better but she was little afraid to show her skills.

One day she went traveling to see other, greener lands. She also took her big sister with her. When they had reached to border of Hidden Kusagakure they encountered 4 shinobi. All of them were Chunin level or higher. On that day Karin was very afraid and she quickly tired to run away. She was stopped by one ninja but her sister protected her. She was able to take down 3 of the shinobi. Fourth shinobi was still alive and tried to give finishing blow to Karin but her sister blocked the attack with her body. Karin's sister was attacked by a humongous sword. Then she quickly took down the last one also with her Crystal Style and died because of the blood loss. From that day on Karin started to afraid big, sharp weapons.

When Karin was around 12 years old she was called to a spar by Academy Student year older than her. Karin accepted the challenged because all other people wanted that she would accept it. At first Karin had upped edge but later when the kid was mad and started to use her sword she gained the upper hand. Karin was in a pinch and she started to afraid terribly. Suddenly something snapped in her. She had gone into her bad personality and would have almost killed the other stundent if teachers wouldn't have had stepped in. After that people started to afraid her and she lost all of her friends. Then Karin started to work harder and passed the Academy when she was being quite close to age of 13.

~Genin
Once Karin because genin she didn't gain a squad because lack of shinobi. Karin started to train on her own, practicing her crystal style
