Hayate's hospital training

Hayate comes back through the village gates and thinks what a let down this day has been. He walks a few blocks to the center of town to where the villages hospital is located. He walks through the door and up to the reception desk. He checks his weapons at the desk, and looks over the list of injured people to see if there is anyone he could help out with. He writes down a few names and thanks the woman at the desk and begins to do his training rounds.

Asako was following Hayate since the morning. He was afterall Surpentheon's teammate...

Her stalking plan didn't go very smoothly. It had been recently that she activated her bloodline and the fact she was blind now and saw everything in strange colors. Several times, she had fallen from her tree, or simply tripped. Remembering everything is one thing, being able to live in it without seeing it properly is another thing.

In the hospital, it was a chaos everywhere where she went. She fell over a bucket of water and soap, bumped into lots of people, almost made an old person fall in the stairs and broke several times something made of glass. She just LOVED her new bloodline.

She was searching for his chakra color over ten minutes now and still hadn't find him back in the huge place. Suddenly, she thought she heard his voice and ran over to the room. Once there, she slammed the door open.
Immediately, she noticed her mistake and closed the door slowly. That was certainly not Hayate. Since he had neither pink or light purple chakra...
'...That was very, very, very embarassing...But where is Hayate-san now?'

Hayate was making his rounds. He walked into one room, his notes said the women had cut herself while cutting vegetables. He walked in and introduced himself. He first checked the room for infection and even though he did not see any, Hayate sterilized it and then concentrated green chakra to his hand. As his hand touched the wound it began to heal up slowly of course since Hayate was still rther new to this but healed none the less. The woman graciously thanked him and went on her way. Hayate stayed in the room for a bit to finish working on the womans medical chart and started to walk towards the oor not paying attention of his surroundings.

Hayate reached out for the door, with his nose still in the chart and turned the doorknob and walked out of the room. It was at that moment that He runs right into Asako. He was a bit annoyed at the inconvenience of people but he felt it was his fault for not watching where he was going, so he opened his mouth to apologize. "Oh Sorry Miss, I hope your ok? Are you looking for someone?"

Asako fell on her butt and crawled backwards to the nearby wall and stood up on, trembling on her legs. Hayate had light purple chakra?...No way. He was a guy. G-U-Y. Purple isn't for guys...wasn't it?

Asako shook her head, coughed, dusted her pants off and coughed slightly, while regaining her cold face again.
"Hayate-san." she greated him calmly while making a slight bow.
She tried to look correct and well put, but, her face was full of scratches, her hair undone from the bun and her clothes were or torn or dirty. She was almost ridiculous. Though, her calm and cold aura gave her some grace and respectful appearance, saving her honor.
"...I was looking for Surpentheon. Haven't you seen him?"
When she leaned on her left leg, she made a grimace of pain and glanced at her pants, which had a red stain on it.

Hayate hears the girls question but doesnt answer right away as he was checking her condition. Scratches, cuts and what had caused her to be bleeding. He could tell this was going to be an interesting day when the visitors look worse off then the patients. Without thinking and instinctively he takes her hand and takes her to the newly empty room he had just left. "You mean that prime and proper boy that is in my new squad...Yeah I saw him don't know what you could want him for though."

Hayate starts to examine Asako's face first. The cuts dont seem to be anything to serious but they seem to have been from various times and not just from one occurance. He knew he could fix a few but the more deep ones probably would need a better trained medic, which he sighed at this point. "Please stand still." He said calmly and brought the green healing chakra to his hands again and a good number of the bruises started to heal up but at this point he was starting to get exhausted.

"Now please sit up on the bed here for I could take a look at that leg of yours." He puts on a smile, in a hospital setting, though still uncomfortable around people took on a different air, changed his personality. He liked helping people since it made him feel more in control of his surroundings.

Asako let herself being dragged over to the empty hospital room and shoved up on a bed and healed in the minutes that followed the incident.
She realized a few things.
First, Hayate had indeed light purple chakra. Second, he didn't like his teammate. Third, he was a gifted medic. Fourth, she'd better find a sensei and squad if she wanted to be able to get better. Last, she should take medical jutsu lessons with Hayate, who was nicer then his appearances showed her.

'Never judge a book by it's cover...' she thought. 'The content might surprise you...'She wanted to reply something nice, but since her incarnated character was taking over her again, she snapped at the young medic, who was slowly exhausting himself.
"Just bandage my leg. Don't waste your chakra on me. And don't call Surpentheon that way. Especially not if he's your teammate."

She almost glared at the boy, but kept her cool appearances and leaned on her arms back on the bed. The feeling of the healing chakra still tingled on her face and made some part of her carving to heal. It was deep in her, like some part of her tortured heart and soul was being blessed with some light. It was soothing and exciting at the same time, it was a new feeling for her.
"Hey...pretty boy. Teach me how to heal." she said on a serious, but commanding tone.

Hayate smirked at hearing this girl talk. At least he thought she was a girl but her features were a bt confusing and non-distinct. "Well if my words angered you about that boy, sorry, but I am more angry at our sensei since we all showed up for nothing it appeared. Plus the boy you looking for was kind of sucking up to him...I believe one should prove worth through actions and not words, But NNNOOOO that boy is sensei this and sensei that." Despite her protest he still took a look at her leg, and nothing seemed broken and she just had a sprain.

He was not certain on his chakra levels but remembered there was a few food pills in the medicine cambinets in case of patients running low on over usage of their chakra. He took one of the pills and felt his chakra levels surge once more. He again brought green chakra to his hand and healed up the bruise that is bleeding. "Don't act so tough I know it hurts and there is no reason to suffer pain that is unnecesary." The wound heals up, after about a minute, which thank goodness since he again was getting exhausted and a bit light headed. Man I pushed myself to hard, was wha he thought in his head. Upon hearing her request to learn healing jutsus he responds,"Pretty boy" Shrugs "if you say so, and this is no parlor trick, it takes complete control of ones chakra and a lot of practice." Strangely he was a bit flattered by this girls request, he had never felt needed by anyone before and it did create a weird sensation of happiness in him, not that he was going to let it show though. "But I can't allow you to just go about and trying without training" Sighs audibly "so if your serious I will try to teach you, though there are better teachers at it I am certain."

Asako sighed and rolled her eyes, irritated by the boy's words.
"It's logical to think and speak high of it's sensei, right? Since the sensei is supposed to be a example figure. If you were more respectful about your elders, you'd have the same reaction as Surpentheon-san."

Once the green chakra faded away from his hands, she moved her leg, checked the torn pants, sighed innerly for the future cleaning and sewing work she'd have to do and jumped down from the bed with a graceful move. She waved dismissively to the boy and answered:
"I can judge if I want lessons from you or someone else. You're good enough, your chakra system is cleaner then that of some medics I saw and you've the patience you'll need with me. I take you as teacher for now."

Asako stared at the boy for a minute with her dead eyes.
He was skinny, shorter then her and was probably of a pale complexion of hair and skin, because of the pale chakra color. He had sharp but graceful moves and apparently, he was a fond of using a bow, because one of his arms was more muscled and trained then the other one. The chakra system in that arm was weaker and more used then in the other arm though...
She bowed to the guy with a graceful move and presented herself to him. Her long black hair fell over her shoulders, hiding her pale face behind a curtain of black locks.
"Asako...Kabuki Asako is my name. As you can see, acting is my favorite passtime and enjoyment...Nice to meet you." she trailed off with a soft voice.

"I do respect my elders, when thus respect is earned. What I dont respect is the feeling of being called out somewhere just to be blown off." With that He gave off a sigh. "I was actually looking foward to meeting with this man and learning more, I took the time to fully prepare myself for this meeting and I was just disappointed how it went."

He watched the female get off the table, she was taller then him but was rather frail looking. Every move she made seemed well practiced and with purpose. Her words gave the air of someone that was completely stable and could change moods in a heartbeat. He knew this would be bad to have someone like this as an enemy, but at teh same time he could tell she had some sort of infatuation over this Surp whatever the heck he calls himself person. Wonders if this infatuation is what he heard was called love. Hayate could not think of any time anyone should this sort of interest in him, except maybe the Jounin that took him in. Was that it, he was loved or was he saw as some sort of nnja tool since he showed promise. This ws all becoming to much, and he shook it off.

Hayate returns her look after she finishes talking and introducing herself. " My name is Hayate as your aware, Chizuru Hayate. Thanks for the kind words but I am just a trainee at this time myself also, but I am more then willing to share what I know..." It was at this time he replayed her words exactly as said, "What do you mean my chakra system....You can see chakra signatures?" He begins to examine this girl a little closer with his eyes.

Asako kept "staring" at him, slightly annoyed of him coming closer and stepped back, with a polite smile.
"I got some Ash bloodline trait, called Doukengan." she said with a haughty tone. "It made me blind, but gave me lots of visual advantages. Like seeing people's, things and plant's chakra system. It's pretty awesome if you know how to use it...In which I still suck, since it's in an early stade. I can only see people's chakra at the moment. That's why I bump in everything lately."
She rubbed the back of her head, her cheeks red of embarasment. She hated it to look weak or like a fool in public, and lately, she sure did look like an idiot.

"Your chakra signature is girlish; it's light purple. But it's without any flaw and your system is great for healing. The kenteksu are big and open, and your chakra portals are quite easy to open if you wanted to...Anyway, the point is that you've a body made for healing, but that you'll have to go easy on your principal arm. Your system is a little weaker there, because of the intense use to pull at your bow...But otherwise, it's in a greater shape then that of the headmedic...Well, he smokes, so, it's kinda understandable."
Asako glanced up to Hayate again.
"I never saw him. But when he looked at my eyes, he smelled like cigarette a lot." she explained quickly while giving the boy a smile.

Hayate sighs and blushes at hearing what she had to say. "Great I look like a girl." This was turning more and more into a wonderful day as it continued. "That said I can see where such a thing could be useful and both a pain at the same time." Then was her comment on the head medic, which for the first time in a long time brought an audible laugh from Hayate, he didnt know what came over him but he found it so funny. "Well dont worry I think he values those cigarettes more then his life anyways."

"Oh and on your comment on chakra usage and arms. We all have our little tricks." With that he made perfect handsigns using just his one hand and created a clone right next to him. He returns her smile and walks out. He then pops his head back in and looks annoyed a bit but mostly for show at this point, "Well you are coming aren't you? Will not learn anything standing there."

Asako huffed silentely and followed Hayate, not without banging in the door before she could enter the hallway.

Her metallic plated wooden sandals made a hollow sound in the hallway and she was silently following the light purple trace of Hayate. Now that he wasn't using his chakra, it was a little harder, since the only thing she could see of him was a little purple flame in the middle of his stomach.
But even while following that trace, she kept bumping into people and into walls and doors. She wanted to grab the guy's hand, but her pride stood in the way. She didn't want to take the hand of Hayate and look helpless. She was a kunoichi and she'd have to find a solution on her own.

Suddenly, she tripped over something and grabbed the shirt of Hayate...Which made a dangerous noise of ripping tissue and she fell flat on her nose on the ground.
"...In fact, Hayate-san...I hate my bloodline those days." she mumbled. "...Sorry about your shirt..."

Hayate was walking down the hallway to the next room on his list. It happened to be some distance away in a different wing of the hospital. He was pre-occupied in his work and didnt think of Asako having a problem. It was not like he was ignoring her but more like he was not used to someone with her affliction. As Asako tripped and grabbed at and ripped his shirt, he bent over and heard her words and placed his hand on her head and smiled at her. He did not know why he did it and it was completely weird for him but he felt guilty for not noticing her problem and really wanted to help her. "It will be ok. I bet you had to train to be good at Kabuki right, especially being a female. I am certain one day you may see your eyes as a benefit." He offers her his hand and helps her stand up and does not let it go. As he turns to walk away he has an inner reflection of great now I sound like a complete idiot and blushes a bright red. He takes it slowly and leads her by the hand, and feels tht her hand has been a bit synged and burnt. He assumes that she must use fire element but not that he is one to speak since his lightning element has taken a bit of a tol lon his hands too.

Hayate's hand was rough and filled with static electricity. Lightning element was his chakra affinity. She thought it was a strange combination with the color of his chakra. Surp was lightning too, but his color was a fierce gold.
'Oh well, everyone is different...'
The hand of her new teacher was warm. Almost too hot for a person in good health. Was he sick? He didn't seem so though. Chakra always acted strange with sick people and irrigated intensely the places that were sick of the body. But his chakra was calmly in the middle of his belly and didn't act weird.
Asako frowned slightly, her head filled with questions.

"Say...Who's your sensei?"

"My sensei is a man name Itami. I could not really tell you more then that since after he had us introduce ourselves he said we should leave, and thus why I came here, to get some value out of the day." He hoped he did not sound rough, he was just frustrated still since he so looked foward this day and it ended up being a big let down. He arrived at the hospital room and turned to her and blushed lightly realizing he was still holding her hand. He would turn quickly hoping she did not notice, this was a first time he was really close to anyone his age let alone a girl. "This appears to be the room in question. According to my chart, this should be a male genin who is having his leg checked out after an accident ocured whil on a mission." He procedes to open the door and leads Asa in.

"Hello my name is Hayate chizuru and I will be looing you over and I hope you wont mind if I have an observer for the day." He starts off with an introduction to try to make the patient feel more at ease and to establish a bond of trust. He was good at these sort of relationships and was not completely sure as to why. Maybe it comes from inner longing to want to have more friends or maybe he saw them as safe since they were brief and thus safe from getting hurt. "So what exactly where you doing when you got hurt and where does it hurt?" He could tell almost instantly this was more then a simple injury and could tell almost instantly that the bone was broken.

Asako blinked at the cold tone Hayate used for his sensei and blinked again at his nice tone he used to the patient.
The leg of the genin was filled with overreacting purple chakra and it was swollen. The chakra system had been damaged pretty well and apparently a muscle or two were moved because of the injury.
'Open fracture to the right with two sprained muscles at least and a damaged chakra system in the direction of the fracture. The patient should be unable to move it's feet to the right and can't move it for the last 25° to the left. He or she fell apparently from around 10 m high and tried to land on it's feet.' she thought, repeating what she saw with her eyes.

At the academy, they had anatomy lessons for the first aid in case something went wrong. She remembered the picture of the human muscles like it was the day before she had seen it and also the bones structure was pretty clear in her mind too. The open fracture had cut the chakra system in a particular way and it told her in which direction the bone was and how the patient could move it's foot. The simple fact of seeing the broken system had told her a lot of things that Hayate would have seen with a x-ray...If her assumptions were correct...

She deceided to watch Hayate do his job and learn by watching and listening.

As was examining further he noticed the genin had a few muscles that seemed to be causing pain but could not sense any tendon or muscle damage. The genin had mentioned that he had been trying to create some sort of flying jutsu on a dare from his squad mates since he had control of the wind element. The whole thing made Hayate just want to hit him on the head with the clip board and ask how stupid was he, but he didnt and remained calm. "Have you not ever heard of thinking for yourself?" X-rays had been taken earlier and there was also a lab report. Hayate walked over to one of the viewing screens and put up the xray and turned on the light. Sure enough there was the fracture. "Well it appears that you will be out of comission for at least 4-6 weeks since your leg is going to reguire a cast." He walks back over and approaches the genin but is talking to Asako. "The hardest part to healing jutsus is control. We have been trained from the begining of our days in the academy how to control chakra but we are taught to just build of chakra and then throw it at it. Thus we miss out on using each drop of chakra correctly. Medical jutsus can not do that, they require constant control over each drop or else you may cause more damage then good. The other par left out of Academy training is the teaching of different types of chakra. Before you say it, yes I know you have heard of chakra for non-element jutsus and also elemental chakra, which your body has a natural affinity to. That said the chakra you use for such jutsus is crude and actually has a more violant air to it. To perform a healing jutsu, one needs to calm their chakra and change its violent nature into a calm and hearing of your eyes ability I am certain you can see the chakra even takes on a completely different color, despite no element involvement." Hayate once again brings the green colored chakra to his hands and heals a good portion of the genins sprain after 5 minutes. Hayate gets up and says, "I am going to get a specialist in here to properly set your leg in place and get the cast on." As he turns he realizes he has used to much chakra and gets a bit woozy and leans on the wall for support.

Asako, not being able to see the x-ray, stayed near the bed of the patient and listened carefully. Chakra control had never been a problem for her and she was not for nothing one of the first ones to be able to execute a jutsu in class. Keeping her chakra in check wouldn't be very hard for her. It sounded like walking on water or on a tree...
But soothing chakra? She indeed saw Hayate's chakra turn green when he healed and thought the princip was the same, that the healing chakra was a simple attack jutsu used in a soft way, or something like that.
Hayate's chakra was stable all the time, well proportioned in his body when he used it and all his kenteksu were properly opened and used. And the green color it took while healing was soothing after all...

She saw her companion walk over to the bed and begin to relax his sprained muscles. She wanted to stop him, seeing that he was already at his limit, but stopped herself, curious how far he could go.
The boy stood up, satisfied and began to walk over to the door. Suddenly, she saw the light purple flame wobble and his whole body lose suddenly chakra in the system. Result, Hayate had to lean against the wall for support. The girl sighed, went over to him and crouched near in front of him, making a sign to climb on her back.
"No need to play tough, pretty boy. You're walking on your chakra reserve. Keep going, and you'll fall ill of exhaustion. Let me help you this time. Be my eyes, I'll be your legs...Or however you want to call this situation."

Asako looked away, slightly pink of embarassment and changed already of personality. She became a guy already, her shoulders seemed to have become larger, her chest more wide. Her face had taken more masculine traits and her whole body seemed more tough and stronger. She was proud of her ability to change, but she was scared of the mental consequences of her changes. Her mind and body changed in function of the moment. She didn't forget who she was, who people were. She was just unable to be herself.
Annoyed of the wait, she growled:
"Just climb up, pretty boy."

Hayate knew already that he reached his limit and propabaly past it at the moment. Great what an example I make, trying to teach lesson and over do myself. He is determined to do this on his own and save his pride but as soon he pulled way from the wall, he ended up losing his balance and ended up stumbling towards Asako. He caught on to her shoulder and then noticed that her physique had changed and was more masculine in features and her muscle mass had changed also "Maybe you are right on this one." Was all that he had said. He blushed in embarassment and put his arms around her neck and held on. He whispered softly hoping no one would hear. "Great here I need to rely on someone for help. Relying on others only leads to weakness when they end up leaving you." At this moment though he is still hanging on he passes out.

Asako frowned. Her character, becoming softer and nicer then her physical traits showed, made her mumble something unusual for her to say the last times:
"Baka...Leaning on others makes you stronger then you think, Hayate-kun. It teaches you what bonds can mean in life and how it can make you do things only to preserve those. Weakness is to find when you've no purpose to defend."

Asako held his legs and brought him to an empty room she found a little further. She entered it, not without taking extra precautions not to hit any wall or door and put Hayate softly on the bed. After she did that, she slumped down the wall and fell asleep.

Hayate is asleep and has a nightmare. All this reminds him of the day his parents were killed. He sees there faces as they were cut down from his hiding spot in a closet. There blood pooling on the floor. He just continued to stare, to scared to move and to scared to even breath. He wanted to scream but his mouth made no sounds. He sat and coward to weak to help. The walls started to spin and close in on him, but he can not move he can not escape, for if he does he dies. Mom, dad, do not leave me, he yells while he is thrashing in his bed. He curls up into a small ball and just cries uncontrolabbly while still asleep.

Asako, waken up by the noise, yawned, half awake, half asleep. When she heard the crying, she stood quickly up and looked at Hayate. She sat on the bed, her features completely normal.
Her face was a soft looking one with her black hair tugged behind her ears a little messily.

She sat on the bed next to Hayate and put her hand on his eyes.
"Ya know...crying can help you a lot to free your feelings. Mom always told me to let my tears flow even if it was for a little thing. As Kabuki actor, I needed to restrain all feelings, and letting place to the ones I had to incarnate. Heh, I'm not myself ever in front of people now. Except for just now."
She leaned against the wall, stroking Hayate's hair softly.
"Stop making bad dreams and let the past go, okay? Just make the future for the better."

Hayate is woken by Asako's touch. He hears her words. The images are still fresh in his head. They torment him. "At least you had one. I barely remember mine, mothers that is. All I see is a blank face in a puddle of blood, along with my father. Both were to weak and me was the weakest of them all." With this he sits up and punches the bed. Not once, not twice, but three times. "They died protecting my weakness, that is what happens when you rely on someone to much. They end up leaving or sacraficing themselves, worthlessly." He continues to cry and tries to hit the bed one more time but the power behind it is not there anymore and he just cries.

Asako sighed and hugged Hayate firmly.
"You're a baka. You're not weak. Weak people flee from their weakness, refusing to see it. You're working hard, training and learning everyday to become stronger. You're stronger then you think you know. Your parents would be proud of you. And if they died, sacrificing their lives for you, it means that they wanted you to be able to accomplish your dream, to be able to grow up and live a happy life."
Asako patted him on the back and smiled.
"Now stop whining and stand up like a man that you are." she said with an encouraging tone.

She stood up and stretched, fully awake and turning back into the character she was before sleeping. Her shoulders became broader and her whole frame became more masculine. She had still a calm and pretty nice character, but she wasn't really human anymore. She was just a fairy tale person again, hanging between reality and dream...

Many questions flooded his mind as he was hugged. Why would this girl even care? Why does she want to comfort him? Is he that weak that he needed others to take care of him? but for as many questions as she created, she seemed to be able to answer as well. Had that been his parents wishes? They honostly went through all of it to help him. And were they proud of him whereever they are now? Either way he knew he looked quite pathetic at the moment and an utter mess. He wiped his tears off and put back on his less then caring expression, more for show then anything. "Maybe your right. Oh well guess we will never know." He walked by Asako and stopped for a minute Thanks... He approached the door. "I think we could stop the lessons for the day, since I am certain that I will have to meet up with that sensei again. I am going tp head off to the library at the academy." He approached the door and turned the nob and opened the door. Is there anyplace you would like me to take you to, I might be sad if you hurt yourself again." He smirks after saying this and awaits her answer.
