Arc 1: The Start (0-5)
13 Years ago, Jonas Malcolm Charius one of the two twins born to Emmanuel Adrian Charius The First, and Amelia Mari Charius. Although he has a twin, he came out first and therefore was chosen as the next clan, when he became 25 years old. Since his brother was already in his Guardian Training with their father, he was training to basic techniques by his mother. She taught him the basic tree climbing, water walking, and the such. It is unknown if he was already ahead of his brother, due to him learning those techniques later, but learning progressively better ones earlier.

At the tender of age of three, his training began. He was taught the basics of the clan, but there was a problem. He was supposed to be clan head, but he didn’t possess the abilities to utilize runes or have the fire element. That being said, he did have the ability to bend the fire, a trait that all Charius have no matter what. From that moment on his father was ready to disband his training from there, his mother insisted that he continued his training, stating that he does have the potential to become clan head. His father, although a bit skeptical at first, decided to continue with his training. Emmanuel I taught Jonas the basics first; everything he would learn in the academy. Jonas thought it was going to be easy, oh, but was he so wrong.

Jonas continued his basic training for two years, learning how to block and fight against bigger foes that him. During those two years, he built speed, endurance, and the such. Somedays, he would beat his dad, only because his dad was very tired from his brother’s training and had a hard time balancing the two. From there it was decided; Jonas’ training was from twelve at night to twelve noon while his brother trained from one noon to twelve at night. Jonas knew that this was going to be hard, so he made sure he slept during the day, preparing himself for the battles and training at night time.

His training was all fighting. He was supposed to be clan head, so he had to know about clan politics and be able to fill out paper work. He was also set up in ‘What if-Scenarios” where he had to act if he was clan head for a day and feel what it was like before he actually did it.

One day, instead of training, his father decided to take him to a Village Council meeting, which all the clan heads were invited to. Jonas and his father walked through the streets of Konoha, Jonas gripping his father’s hand as he traveled through the streets, very frightened. He was only five, so he was scared of course.
“F-Father..” Jonas muttered.
His father rarely answered him, but instead looked down at him, telling him that he should state his question. Jonas broke into a cold sweat and he sighed, trying to find his words without stuttering. “U-Uh..What’s the council me-meeting like, father?” He asked, his voice turning squeaky.
“You’ll see.” His father simply stated, and then soon arrived outside of the Administration Tower.

They arrived in the Council Meeting room and all eyes were on Jonas. Jonas sighed and hid behind his father’s leg. His father took a seat with Jonas standing behind him. Jonas observed the meeting carefully, mentally noting everything that was happening there. Once the meeting was over, he had learned a lot, and what he learned, he was going use to make his father proud.

Side Arc: Lightning Training (6)

On Jonas’s sixth birthday, his mother gifted him with three jutsu scrolls: Lightning Redirection Jutsu, Lightning Strike, and Volt Speed. Since he was gifted with the lightning element, he was seldom training in elemental jutsu and his mother decided to train him in the ways of the lightning, after, he did inherit the element from her.

Jonas found himself in the Forest Of Recollection, where his mother was waiting for him. She stood there as the most beautiful person ever, at least, that’s the way six year old Jonas pictured her as. Her golden hair blond hair flowed in the wind, and she adjusted his black jumpsuit once Jonas entered the forest. Infront of her were three trees The center has a large, sizzling hole in the middle of it, the left one of was severed, and the right had several cracks in it. Jonas immediately knew that she had used the three jutsu to do such damage to the trees, and he was amazed. He was ready for the training his mother going to give him.

She stood at least a foot over him, and she crossed his arms, his dark chocolate skin beaming with beads of sweat. She brought a gloved hand up to her face, and his dark eyes looked over Jonas. Her eyes were gentle as her smile. “Are you ready, Jona-kun?”
His nickname. Anytime she said it, it tickled his stomach. He smiled at his mother and nodded. He took out a scroll from his back pocket: The Lightning Redirection Scroll. He opened it and looked over before looking up to his mother.
“No, hun, put that away for now.” She stated. “You can use it when we’re finished today.’ She smiled, and Jonas did what he was told. She then began to explains the basics of the jutsu to it. The main purposed of the jutsu, was to, if not already obvious, re-direct lightning. If used skillfully, one can be able to shoot it back at their opponent without taxing their own chakra. His mother helped him set into the stance. Legs spread, arms outstretched at both sides with his head facing the direction of the attack.
“The main thing is to let the lightning pass through you, via your fingertips.” She stated, and ran her finger across Jonas’ arm, tickling him slightly. Jonas giggled, and he nodded, listening to his mother’s instruction.
“Then, stop it at the end of your other hand, and push it back through the hand it entered.” She stated, smiling. Jonas nodded, understanding the concept of the technique. His mother demonstrated, making it look easier than it actually was.

Jonas stood at the far end of the field, taking on the Lightning Redirection stance as his mother took to the other side. She smiled, and held her palm out, released a small bolt of lightning. The bolt struck his finger and he jumped back. He yelped and tears started to run down from his cheeks, and he sat down, holding his now sizzling index and ring finger. He quickly got up and set back into the same position, ready to learn this jutsu no matter what.

This went on for hours. Jonas has mastered the basics of the jutsu and got pass the absorbing phase, now he had to learn to redirect it. With the lightning within his body, he released it and shot out toward a tree, creating a giant gaping hole. He smiled, and his mother jumped up in joy. He had learned this jutsu, and now, he had to learn the other two. His mother knew that he could probably learn it on his own and dismissed him.

Arc 2: Training Continues! (6-9)

Jonas was taught basic, and high leveled math, learning how to manage the family funds and such, a task he would have as a family head. Luckily he was born with a big brain, or else he wouldn't be able to comprehend any of the things he was taught. At this age, something sparked his revolutionary attitude.

He was taking a stroll through the family compound, and when he overheard a conversation with his father and another man. Knowing that he is usually supposed to walk away, he couldn't help it, the conversation sounded interesting. He stood behind the main house and peeped in. It was his father and another clan head, he could tell. He remembered his face from the meeting.
“I refuse to send any of my clan members into war! Its stupid, and uncalled for! Use your own clan members or something.” His father shouted.
“But it’s the only way to gain peace, once the war is over..” The man said.
“Peace!? No such thing! Leave, now!” His father stood up and walked out of the clan house, which startled Jonas, causing him to hide behind the nearest wall. From that day, he wanted revolution in the ninja world; He wanted peace.

For the next weeks, he balanced out home schooling with ninja training. With the little breaks he had, he read up on books, searching up legendary figures such Madara Uchiha, and Hashirama Senju. He studied up on the last four ninja wars. Based on the information, he received, he started to detest the world he is living him, this is what made him hate the shinobi world. Page upon page, only stories of bloodshed. He put the books away in his own private library, and was ready to continue his training.

He often met his father in the middle of the training ground, starting off with close-combat which would usually branch off into long-distance fighting. Jonas seemed to advancing, but not too what his father wanted, which made his father detest him even more. This caused Jonas to be slightly pessimistic, and him and his father would often get into arguments about the ninja world; Jonas often resulting in the winner, making his father detest him even more.

Training Put To The Test!

Jonas and his twin brother, Rei, were walking through the clan grounds, Rei, per usual, showering his brother with how his day was. Suddenly, Jonas tensed up, although he was only nine years old, he knew when an enemy was here. He pushed his brother behind and took a stance. A stance he seen his father used, but he was never taught it. He looked up on the roof, and it was an figure, dressed in all black wielding Nunchaku.

It was his father. His father warned him that he would be ambushed, and that was to be his test. He had to disarm his opponent, and take him down. Jonas looked around, searching for a weapon. A broom, that’s all he saw, and he had to make it work. He shot over to it, and grabbed it, spinning it around skillfully before kicking the broom part off of it, turning it into a make-shift staff. He set into a stance, and nodded to his brother, simply telling to skedaddle.

Jonas jumped up and swung the staff swiftly at his father’s head. His father, who was too busy being in shock at his son’s speed, was hit in the head and knocked back, almost falling off of the roof. Jonas began to shower his father with smacks and whips from the staff. His father smirked, and gripped the staff, snapping it with ease. He then whipped out the nunchaku, and slapped Jonas across the face, sending him spiraling across the roof. Jonas landed into a roll, and decided to keep it straight hand-to-hand, something he excelled at. His foot shot forward, slamming into his father’s stomach, which was rock hard. His father gripped his foot, and swung the boy around, slamming him against the tiles of the roof, smashing them.

He growled in pain, and wiggled out of his father’s grip, rolling over. His face was bleeding, and he was becoming dizzy. He advanced forward, and threw a punch, which his father, as anticipated, caught. Jonas quickly used his other hand, and snatched the nunchaku, throwing them away. He smiled, before falling back out cold.

Arc 3 - A New High (10-13)

Jonas completed the task. This caused his father to be a lot tougher with him. He learned to two basic family techniques, and was trained in the Art Of Jeet Kune Do, which was a very complicated fighting style. During the first phase of his training, he was taught to be flexible, and was given the bridge exercise. His father was so pushy, that every time Jonas messed up, he had to go without dinner that night, and go straight to bed. During this exercise, his father would often sit on Jonas’s stomach, often to make him mess up. This helped build muscle, so Jonas supposed it had another meaning.

The second phase, was the practice of motion. Jonas had to learn to stop hits and stop kicks. More precisely, he had to learn to intercept his opponent. This was mastered in the constant bouts between him and his father, and this is the only part he mastered. The third phase to practice the four phases of combat; kicking, punching, trapping and grappling (him only mastering Kicking and Punching) which two about three months each part of the phase. He continued training with his father in the way of Jeet Kune Do, but due to his father’s constant yelling at him, this caused Jonas to hate his father.

His father enrolled him into the academy, partly because he didn’t wanted to see his son, and partly because he wanted him to make something of himself. Jonas managed to go through the academy relatively easily, due to his mom home-school prior, and almost aced every single exam/test. Although, that being said, he scored an impressive 98% on the genin exam, but due to him not knowing genjutsu (only being able to dispel it). He graduated from the academy, none the less, and was given a graduation present; The Chidori Scroll, which his father had gotten from a friend. He is now officialy a genin, and awaits to be placed onto a team.

Arc 4: Realization
Jonas had just become genin. He was happy. He had been waiting for this day ever since he entered the academy. He made his way to the Western Glacier, to sit there and think about his life a genin. He closed his eyes, and began to drift deep into his mind.

“JONAS-KUN!”

Jonas smiled. He knew that voice. He was of his childhood friend Raina. He was greeted by a hug. Typical between the two friends. He made small talk with his friend, learning of a party that he was never invited to, and other things. Then, it went ominous. Jonas felt another presence. A legendary presence.

He turned his head, and noticed a man, which he didn’t know at the time, known as Kazuki Shikimori, the Taijutsu sage. He watched the man. Thinking he was a spy or something. Raina pointed out the Aurora headband, but Jonas still thought otherwise. He threatened the spy, telling him to leave the village or the young genin would have to take action. Kazuki simply insulted the boy, causing the raging within Jonas to grow. Jonas shot forward, enhancing his kunai with Raiton chakra.

He engaged the man in combat, and was quickly knocked aside. Jonas went flying across the snow, disoriented from the fight. He was just taken down in one hit, and he felt even more weak. He sighed, and stood up. Raina, knowing that her friend was sad, offered to get some ramen. Jonas decided to cheer up for a little bit, and he, along with his friend, teleported to Ramen shop.

Well, he was TRYING to teleport to the ramen shop. He ended up two blocks away from it, and looking like a fool. He smiled sheepishly to his friend, and the two made it down the street. There, they met another shin obi by the name of Eiji Oukami. They conversed and then made it down to the ramen shop, Raina announcing that the last one to the shop had to pay. That being said, Jonas was the last one, and he released the contents of his wallet, paying for the three’s meal. After leaving the ramen stand, using one of the clan’s messenger, and sent the man from yesterday a challenge. Raina, knowing that her friend did so, decided to accompany him when the time came.

Several days later, the time did come. And the two journeyed to a snowy forest located on the border of Aurora and Blood. Jonas, who had prepared for this, readied for this. Kazuki was waiting for them, telling them to come at him with the intention to kill. Jonas and Raina did exactly so. They charged at him, attacked him, but to no avail. He summoned defenses, or turned them against each other. Jonas, taking Raina behind a tree, devised a plan. The two traveled deeper into the forest, tagging the whole forest with explosives.

Kazuki noticed this and set off the explosives himself. Jonas and Raina still in the forest, Jonas summoned a sphere of aura and chakra around the two, and hugged Raina. The explosion was nullified a lot, but still did some damage to Jonas. Nothing to minor though. When the smoke cleared, the Tajiutsu sage was gone. And Jonas, along with Raina, headed back to Aurora.

Upon returning to the village, he met his grandfather, who took him under his wing as a trainee. Jonas nodded to Raina, knowing that there was no hope of them being on the same together now. Isamashii told Jonas that to inform his father that he was going to train in the mountains with a while. But, Jonas anticipated his father’s reaction..

Arc 5: Tension: Face Off Against Father! (Age 13)

Jonas returned home, and went straight to his room to pack. After finishing, he picked up the bag and headed downstairs, only to be greeted by his twin brother’s Rei. He walked past his brother, and headed over to his mother, bowing to her and giving her a hug. Then, he met his father out on the clan training grounds. He then gave his father the news, who laughed in his son’s face.

Isamashii arrived at that moment, and greeted his relatives. Emmanuel I, not even greeting his father figure, made an uproar. Isamashii sighed, and then made a bet with his son. If Jonas could land two hits on Emmanuel I, then he would be allowed to take his grandson into the mountains. Jonas smirked, thinking it would be easy. Emmanuel, just by a look, reassured his son, that it would be. At all.

They took their stances at their respective end of the battle field. The clan members watched with interest. Issamashii, the proctor of this match, started the match. Jonas dashed over to his father, going through a string of hand seals. He summoned three bunshin, and they lined up in front of him. One by one, each bunshin exploded in a puff of smoke, clouding Jonas’ father’s vision. Jonas shot out of the smoke, and Emmanuel caught his fist, tossing him in the stone walls of the Main house. Jonas slid down the walls, and then got up to his feet. He went through a string of hand seals, and released a powerful jolt of lightning from his palm. His father dodged and countered, punching the air, causing fire to jet out of his fists. Jonas rolled to the side, and charged over his father. His father took a deep breath, and exhaled, releasing a torrential burst of fire from his mouth. Jonas, crossing his arms over his face, formed a barrier of aura, blocking the torrential burst. Suddenly, it stopped, and his father appeared behind him, sending a powerful punch to the spine. Jonas went flying across the grounds, hitting the wall once.

He shot over to his father, and faked his father out, going for a punch, but then switched a leg sweep. His foot connected with his father’s ankle, and that was hit one. The fight commenced, going back between the two Charius. Jonas drew his fist back, and punched his father. A punch fueled with thirteen years of anger and hate. Emmanuel stumbled back, and stared his son. Jonas picked up his back, and walked over to Grandfather.

“Let’s go.” Jonas said, and left the clan compounds along with Grandfather..
