C.O.O.K.I.E. is a more or less secret organization created by ex-kage Yakate Tsuno after understanding the calamities that have befallen the world. Although the group consists only of himself now, he intends to fight the dark machinations of organizations such as the Toukai Empire. Their main goal, however, is to remove this evil plague that has befallen the ninja world. And their ultimate goal; to do it with style.
The organization has no headquarters; it is, after all, a one-man army as of now. Also, since no one knows about it, it can carry out it's operations undisturbed. There are no incredulous requirements for members of the alliance; your newborn child could even be a member. All it requires is a vow to not betray the secrets of C.O.O.K.I.E. to anyone else. And one essential; crack a joke once a day or face the boot.
After rising to his current rank, Yakate has decided to enhance the status of the C.O.O.K.I.E. Thieves. Wiping out the ANBU of Sunagakure, Yakate has made the C.O.O.K.I.E. Thieves the organization for Sand's most skilled and powerful shinobi. But most importantly, it is for the ninja that are willing to fight against the evil that is emerging from the atmosphere. Despite the increased significance of the group, the requirements to join are the same; a vow to maintain the secrets of C.O.O.K.I.E., and to crack a joke at least once a day.
