| Bookwoman had her arms crossed over her chest and had to raise her chin up to be able to look Yakate directly in the eyes. She was annoyed; wasn't he the one who implied she was his sister? And now that she was actually agreeing with it and slowly, but steadily accepting the fact, he was now playing innocent? And then what? Dragons would become orange instead of blue? ...Well, that would actually be nice, orange was after all her favorite color. But nevermind that. That Idiotic Rapunzel apparently needed a help for his brain to process the information she was hinting - no, slamming him into his face with very clear words - to him. "You are so troublesome, Idiotic Rapunzel. "I'm your sister. I remember it. My previous alias was Hyosuke Asako. Is that clear enough for your ping-pong ball sized brain or do you need more explanations?"
And before he could answer, she walked briskly away, running the stairs down, opening the front door, slamming it behind her and went to see their neighbor for some food. God, how embarassing it was for her as a Bookwoman to admit that she had forgotten something that important as her brother.

| Yakate felt a feeling as if a giant cannonball had just crashed into him. And yet, it hadn't hurt him at all. A feeling as if a snake had just bitten him; a bite that was soothing. Dazed, he sat backwards on the tough bed, staring into apparent nothingness.
It was hard to contemplate what he had just learned. When he implied that she was his sister, he didn't actually think she was. She was unlike Asako in almost every way, apart from her aversion to perverts. He buried his face in his hand, sheer shock gripping him. This was the person he'd been thinking of for all his time in Mystery... The thrill he thought he'd be feeling right now wasn't there.
A minute later, he went back to normal. Completely. It was this awesome skill he had; detaching himself entirely whenever he was troubled.
He walked out of the room after putting on something more respectable. No one was there in any of the rooms; it was evident Bookwoman had left. He had no idea where she was, though. With nothing to do, Yakate sat on a chair just beside the entrance, juggling with balls of sand in his hand.

| Bookwoman came back a few minutes later, a bag in her hand, filled with fruits, bread and some cheese. They had water, so she had refused the milk their neighbor had so kindly offered. She and the Idiotic Rapunzel were young and strong enough to find a job to win their own money and milk.
She almost tripped over the long legs of the ex-Kage who was juggling sand balls, sitting on a chair in the hallway. Bookwoman sighed innerly. There was no way that he would have thought of trying to find a job or anything while she was gone. Well...At least he had clothes on now, which looked clean, in one piece and...slightly too small. He had grown over the years and his pants reached above his ankles and the sleeves mid-way his forearms. "I got some food. Just fruit, I feel too lazy to cook." was the brisk explanation the young man got for her absence. And she walked away, still scowling and glaring because of his slow brain and ping-pong sized mind.
Once in the kitchen, Bookwoman dropped the bag on the counter and washed her hands. She had always insisted upon having clean hands before going to eat. It was a habit that she had gotten hard time with pounding into Yakate's manners when he was a kid. And he kept on forgetting it, even as an adult. Instead of learning basic hygiene, he thought it was more interesting to rank her up or to go play outside with sand, letting the paperwork lack off. Once her hands were dry, she placed them upon the border of the counter and leaned forwards, straightening her arms and leaning heavily on them. Since she had been around Yakate, she had let herself getting attached way too easily and already restored some of the bonds she had with him. She couldn't really snap at him anymore with the same animosity she had before. This was bad, not only she was growing soft, but she was also neglecting her job as a Bookwoman. And what for reply was that? Being too lazy to ask questions and record? Laziness was not accepted in the Bookman's ways.
"...I blame this house for that."

| He reached out and took a piece of bread, and bit on it while chomping on a random fruit he didn't bother to look at. His stomach suddenly took over his body; the hunger he felt seemed to drop on him altogether like an anchor. Not noticing Bookwoman at all as she walked into the kitchen, he enjoyed the rather primitive meal he was served, hardly enjoying it at all, but still grateful for having something to fill his tummy with.
By the time he ran out of fruit and bread, he had to go to the kitchen for more; Bookwoman was right there.
'If you don't want to starve, at least have a bite.'

| Bookwoman glared at Yakate for disrupting her silent thoughts. Hunger had escaped her mind and stomach and now she felt like she would throw up if she managed to get a molecule of food inside of it. But showing a weakness was no option and thus she grabbed the food out of Yakate's hands and took a bite on the random desert fruit and bread. She swallowed after barely chewing and threw the uneatable parts of the fruit away. "Since you had the courtesy of gobbeling up more than half of what I brought back," commented Bookwoman while nodding towards the almost empty bag that contained the sparce provisions of food "you'll have to make sure we've dinner tonight. I'm going to nap. Good day."
And on that, Bookwoman, climbed the stairs up and went to her old room. When opening the door, she had to be careful not to tumble over the many braille covered scrolls, pencils, erasers, drawings and finally broken pens, torn books and drawings that were covering the floor till the last little mm² was covered. It was as if someone had had a fit before and never bothered to clean up behind him. And even though it was filled with stuff, the room seemed to haven't been inhabited for a long time. It felt rather lonely and melancholic. Even though Bookwoman remembered where her old room was, she couldn't remember why she would have destroyed her own belongings. And especially belongings that seemed to be valuable, like she kept on clinging to the almost erased drawing that she carried under her shirt. But, in any case, before she could sleep, apparently, she'd first have to do some cleaning.

| His eyes traced Asa's behind all the way, until it vanished behind the wall. Sighing in mock disappointment, he got up and strolled out the door.
He was lost.
The wide road leading to the left wasn't there. The shortcut alley to his right wasn't present. In fact, it seemed as if Sunagakure vomited right where Yakate had lived; there were so many houses all over, he thought he was in a human-sized maze.
However, in spite of the oblivious streets, Yakate found his way to the marketplace. And once more, he found himself in complete awe at the cheerful faces painted upon the Desert villagers. It was hard to comprehend the sight; the last thing he remembered of the Sand villagers was their terror...
After about an hour of unintentional frolicking, Yakate managed to get his hands on enough rations and ingredients to supply food for him and Bookwoman to last an entire week. For free. It was reassuring to see that some people believed that he was indeed the 'Yakate Tsuno' from the scrolls in the library. Many friends were made; friends that were willing to do much.
It didn't take long for him to navigate back home; the sky was growing orange and red by the time he pushed the door open to his house. Being a disaster when it came to cooking, Yakate simply placed the sack uncleanly on the kitchen; Asa had to cook it, and she wasn't awake yet.
And was he going to just sit there, waiting? No. The hour he had spent in the air of Sunagakure seemed to have stimulated the spirit within him. Instead of sitting in the chair waiting for Asa as he did earlier, he started raiding the home; he dusted everything, and repositioned everything where he had remembered it to be (which was, although he didn't know it, completely wrong). For the moment, he was a maid to his own abode.

| Bookwoman spend her napping time turning and tossing in her bed sheets, incapable of closing a single eye. Her mind was screaming to her that she should look and ask around, to learn more about the strange changement of Sunagakure.
The house was silent for roughly an hour; the sun had changed slowly it's position, leaning more and more towards the western wall, moving the shadows along. Getting rather frustrated with doing nothing and feeling her bed become harder than rock with the minute passing, Bookwoman threw the covers aside and got up. Her room was now rather clean, or at least, the floor was visible. She couldn't say the same about her desk and decided to clear it up. After all, she'd need the writing space soon enough. So, she settled down and started to sort the papers. Braille documents were sparce, but heavy and thus she placed them on the ground, not even opening them. Then she found some letters, written by a named "Surpentheon Fanglord" and a person called "Mari" who talked about another Hyosuke. Scoffing, she threw the letters on her bed, not wanting to be bothered with other bonds. Having to settle with Yakate's bond with her was humiliating enough as a Bookwoman. Next were research books and scrolls, filled with medical annotations, poison recepices and summon descriptions. She'd have to look somewhat deeper into those. After the training with Yakate of course.
Suddenly, something rumbled downstairs. Guessing that Yakate was back, Bookwoman rose from her seat and went to the living room. Surprised by seeing the old rearrangement of the furniture, she let a soft smile linger on her lips while she leaned on the doorframe, letting herself drift in good old memories of the past.

| He was looking at a torn portrait when he noticed Asako standing by the frame of the door leading upstairs, in the corner of his eye. His eyes didn't meet hers as he opened his mouth to talk, hoarsely.
'I got dinner... But you're cooking. '
Dropping the portrait on the floor, he turned to face the kitchen, his arms unconsciously folding themselves around his chest. His eyes, however, were trapped on Asa's face. She was smiling. It just struck him as impossible when he realized Asako was Bookwoman; but it was possible after all. Seeing her face made him mimic her with a smile twice as wide as hers; a smile which died in a second and he faced the kitchen again. They needed dinner.

| Bookwoman felt nostalgia wash over her and thus ignored her own smile and walked closer to the younger man. His blond hair was still a long mess and she had an urge to find a brush and make a neat plait out of it. But yeah, she could already guess that he wouldn't like that very much. ...And he smelled. God, how much did he need a bath. "What's that picture you dropped?" she asked, picking it up. "And I'll cook dinner soon. I just need to know when you're planning to train me again. And when you are finally going to take a shower." | |

| Grinning as she spoke, he fumbled his way over to a chair, sitting on it weakly. Taking a long sniff, he realized that he smelled acridly horrid. Again, he grinned it away, and turned to face Asa.
'It was a picture of the rising sun, drawn atop the walls of Sand. I'll train you... whenever you're ready. And I'll take a shower whenever you're too tired to train.'

| Asako - no, Bookwoman - twitched and sighed. "I'm ready now. Or do you need dinner first? Idiotic Rapunzel..." she muttered while walking away, towards the hallway, preparing to leave the house or cook in the kitchen. | |

| Yakate's stomach backflipped uncomfortably as he was reminded of food again. Impulsively, he coughed out barely audible words;
'Food... first... need... energy...'
He coughed violently several times before settling down, rubbing his throat and tummy with either of his hands.

| Bookwoman rolled her eyes and went to the kitchen. And half an hour later, food was on the table, smelling nicely and filling Yakate's nose with great odors. "Itadakimasu." said the red head, picking her chopsticks up and filling her mouth with some rice. She didn't even bother calling for her brother, because she knew he would arrive once he'd smell the food and arrive in a rather floating manner. | |

| The smell of delicious food seemed to waft him from his seat and caused him to somewhat float into the dining room. His feet danced their way just in front of the food, and his hands waved over to the chopsticks. The serene picture ended like a lightning flash.
Yakate was gobbling up food greedily and relentlessly, filling his empty stomach with delicacies; rice, fruit, meat, curry. He didn't care at all about table manners; he did not register the presence of his sister. And even if he had registered her presence valid, he'd still eat as gluttonously as he did.
Eating every crumb left on the plate, he fell on his butt on the floor, moaning in pleasure.
The next moment he was up on his feet, and grabbing Bookwoman by the wrist, he dragged her out of the house.

| Bookwoman wanted to throw a spoon full of small ox bones in Yakate's face for having no table manners, but she hadn't the time for that. Nor to properly eat actually. Her Idiotic Rapunzel of a brother had inhaled the food in a matter of minutes, making her compare him to a pig.
Before she could even finish a bowl of rice, she was dragged out of the house, held by a firm grip around her wrist and guided towards the outskirts of the district their house was. "W-Wait! We didn't even lock the door behind us! A-And where are you taking me?" yelled Bookwoman out, already irritated by having been interrupted in her meal.

| Playing a deaf ear to her words, Yakate followed a path (with many detours) to where he knew was an empty, sandy field. In the day time, children played in here; it was like a giant sandbox.
Now, however, it was a training field.
'Bookwoman, your training officially starts now!'
With a powerful tone to his voice, he spun around to face her, and jumped back a few meters from her. Doing so, he raised four walls of sand around them; they were trapped in a square, 10 x 10 meters. No one would hear them now.

| When Yakate finally released her, Bookwoman tripped over her own feet, stumbling forwards and managing to catch her balance back right in time. The sand helped her to balance herself on her toes to fall back on her heels and get a more stable stance.
Before she realized where she was exactly, thick and tall walls made of pure sand rose up, blocking most of the view around her and the sun that was hitting on their heads with it's warmth. She was sweating again; she really needed red dye soon again. She could imagine how she looked like. Probably like a bad reputated ronin of some sorts. Or worser - like a bandit. Which she was not; she was a member of the Bookmen's clan! She should have ordered the Idiotic Rapunzel to drop her first in front of a grocery shop where they probably sold hair dye. Or paint. Whatever would work.
"Why are you blocking out the sun after having made me sit under it for hours yesterday?" snapped the young woman at her teacher.

| He took several steps back, bowing his head down and keeping his eyes closed, until his back touched something hard. Leaning back against the sand wall, he opened his eyes and faced Bookwoman, answering her question only then.
'I'm blocking out the sun because I had made you sit under it for hours yesterday. What you learn now will not require physical endurance. You'll be learning how to use your chakra.'
Clearing his throat after the speech (After the speech...?), he made a fluid motion with his foot; he kept his heel fixed as a pivot, and twirled the front of his foot in a tandem towards Asa. As he did, a sudden rush of chakra propagated forwards; a single ripple of sand rushed towards her feet with alarming speed. The ripple was half a foot in amplitude - just large enough to make Bookwoman fall off her feet, if his element of surprise had worked. The sandy surface would hopefully defend her from any harm.

| Bookwoman, having not expected the sudden rush of sand, tripped backwards and got caught in the soft texture of the sand. She scrabled up and crouched down to analyze the sand. There was nothing strange with it. Nothing differenced the sand that had moved from the one that hadn't. Turning to her teacher, she asked: "How did you do that?" | |

| Yakate smirked when he saw the effect that his weak attack had. Hell, it wasn't even at attack; just a ripple of energy.
'That, Asa, was the power of chakra. Something you'll be learning now. YOu try to do it, except don't do it with sand. Try to... er... blow me away, I guess?'
Thinking to himself for a bit, he snapped his fingers; he had an idea.
'Your challenge is to knock me down without laying one finger on me. If you need any hints or tips, feel free to ask.'
Saying so, he stood straight up, not leaning on the sand wall any longer. He folded his arms, reducing his stability by the greatest degree he could, and waited, his eyes staring fixedly to her.

| Bookwoman stared for a long time at her 'opponent'. She had only a vague idea of chakra was, from what she had read in the scrolls and had maybe one or two small and insignificant jutsus in her posession, but that was far from being enough as experience or explanation.
The wind jutsu she had managed to gather after hours of pointless and boring training, was a defense move, that gathered the wind and shielded her more or less. She 'knew' how to gather the wind, not how to spread it. When she had done that, a more or less familiar rush of warmth had entered her arms and the pit of her stomach, spreading evenly over her hands, fingers, arm till the elbow. How it happened or why was a mystery and she was certainly not enclined to ask Yakate how it worked. She had her own pride and she wasn't going to step down that low as the place of an ignorant and dumb student.
Thus, she breathed in, trying to gather the wind, as she'd use her familiar jutsu, Cutting Edge. The warmth rushed inside of her, once more, spreading in her limbs and a cooling feeling from the outside tickled her arms. She crossed her arms above her face and held the position for a moment, as if unsure of what to do. Then, suddenly, she exhaled, opening her arms in a violent move, trying to make the wind move towards the Idiotic Rapunzel.
It did. And gave him a cooling breeze in the face, cooling him down for a moment from the heat of the desert. Mortified from her failiure, Bookwoman blushed and growled. "That didn't count! Give me another chance!"

| While Booky was doing all these strange motions, Yakate was determined not to laugh. She was a novice as a ninja, and he ought to respect that; he was a Kage, he had seen much worse (and much more awesome) attempts.
The fact that she had managed to make a breeze hit him was quite worthy of praise. However, the feeble breeze formed after she had done all those absurd movements forced his stomach to leap in glee; he let out a burst of laughter. As soon as he could get a hold of himself, he stopped, and looked as solemn as ever.
'Keep trying, don't mind me. Imagine that I'm a big, thick log. Now try to push me down. Without touching me.'

| "I'd rather think you're a weak herbivore that is annoying as hell and I need to kill." she snapped back, annoyed and angry at him for laughing.
Frustration was building up while he kept on laughing and grinning, rushing to the pit of her stomach and enter her arms. She was pissed off by the humiliation and mocking laugh that still rang in her ears. "You are one, annoying and Idiotic Rapunzel!" she screamed at him, making a large move with her arm, sending all the chakra and wind she had been building up, at Yakate, making this time a move believable gust of wind, hitting him in the eyes.

| Anger was never a good release to one's chakra. Yet, when Asa snapped at him physically, rather than her usual verbal snap, he was actually quite surprised and taken aback. The strong gust of wind caused his spine to bend backwards painfully; it forced him to close his eyes.
He tipped backwards, but with fanciful footwork, he managed to spin around and stand back straight again. A look of shock etched the features of his face.
'That was impressive, but you're missing the point. One's feet are easier to displace than one's torso - I'm sure you'd know.'

| Bookwoman gave an ungraceful snort and shook her head. She crossed her arms again, breathing deeply in and out, concentrating on the warmth that became easier and easier to gather and use. The anger outburst had actually taught her something and she was going to use it now, precising the move and concentrating the strength of the move in one single line.
"That'd be too easy, Idiotic Rapunzel..." She breathed out and gave him an intense glare with her single eye. "I want to prove you that I'm not weak and capable of learning anything. I'm a Bookwoman, don't forget that!"And she moved her arms open, releasing all the chakra in one single line as she imagined it, letting the two streaks of wind come at Yakate in a visible cross, ready to hit him in the chest, pushing all the air out of his lungs by hitting him directly into the sternum...
She heard her own heart beat in her ears. Babump - babump -babump... Bookwoman was almost praying for her hit to knock her teacher off his feet.
