Sabaku no obaka is a small, shriveled, wrinkled, ugly old woman. She wears flashy green clothes, representing the earth she loves to turn into dust and sand.
She has a cane in her left hand, that looks more like a root of a tree than a human hand, so bony and brown it is. Her hair is gray and sandy, made of pure sand she can use as last resort. Her eyes are invisible because of the long bangs of hair and her lips are alwyas scowling.
She has a horrendoes shrieking voice, deafening her opponents while she scolds them like she'd scold little kids.

Bio: Sunakake-Baba was a young woman in the time, who was left behind by her lover in a small oasis. She waited for him to return, losing slowly all humanity with the missing human company. In the end, she turned into a sand throwing demon, in search for her beloved.
Personality: She's bossy, annoying, violent, jealous, angry and solitary. She's also filled with regrets, hopes, pain and a continual research for love and affection. Narurihyon was the first one to understand that loneliness and accepted her in his group.

Appearance: Sabaku no onna is a dead human with long sandy blonde hair, held up in a tight bun and long bangs framing her oval and tanned face. She has golden eyes and pink lips. Her forms are rather full and her clothes rather revealing. She wears a tank top, that shows her belly being covered with a fishnet shirt. Her legs are covered by a tight pants that reach up till her knees. She wears string sandals at her feet. On her right leg is a holster strapped and has a large boomerang strapped on her back.
But this beauty has a flaw: on her stomach, a large gash is to be seen, blood still dripping out of it, giving her a horrendous ghostly appearance. This wound, letting her live a few hours a day, is the source where her curse lies. Sunakake-Baba has told her that if someone heals it, she'll be able to rest in peace. But for now, Sabaku no Onna has no plans of resting.
Bio: This beauty was once one of the greatest noblemen's daughter of her time, two centuries ago.
Having been raised in a noble's family without any connection to the shinobi world, it would have been strange for her to even think to go on blood rampage. But as times were rough, back when she was still alive and making suitors fawn over her, she eventually got involved with the cruel world of the ninjutsu arts. A man, a Suna ninja kidnapped her. Eventually, psychologically broken, she fell in love with the man and followed him like a little puppy, having everything forgotten and buried in her mind about her past.
The man, having no intention of keeping or letting her live, killed her once the family payed for her liberation. The poor woman, not having realized that she had died, kept on walking around, in her body that was bleeding eternally. People ran away, scared, sending priests at her, to exorcise her.
Hurt, both by the humans fleeing from her and the spells of the priests, Sabaku no Onna, her new given name, entered in a rage with no end and rose the sand around her to kill everyone off. Having done that and still feeling empty and unsatisfied, she started roding in the desert, killing all people she met there. Eventually, she met Sunakake-Baba, who put her in the confidence of her story. Touched, Sabaku no Onna followed her up til now.

The baku has the appearance of a shadow, being able to slip in and out all places and yet keeping a solid form. On the whole body are scattered eyes that see everything about everyone. This gives her the ability to slip into dreams of people and engulf the nightmares away. It also has the ability to take the form of everything, getting a perfect copy of the object/person's appearance.
The true appearance of the Baku is a secret, only known by Narurihyon, it being that of a pale looking woman, with soft features and a white skin. Her hands are only bones, her flesh having been eaten away by a nightmare demon she ate to keep it away from her children in the past.
Bio: The only thing known is that she was the wife of a priest and that, to save her children from horrific nightmares, she ate a nightmare demon who ate her hands away while she took it's life.
Personality: Baku is a soft spirited demon who is ready to do anything for Narurihyon. She's actually keeping a secret crush for him, crush that's not so secret for the 'old man' since he knows everything about his subordinates.
She hates physical violence and thus repels all defensive moves upon illusions and nightmares.

Appearance: Dorimu is a ghastly apparition; he appears to be a little child with black eyes, lank black hair, and wears a long, white, tattered shirt. His skin is shockingly white. A perpetual smile is etched on his face. Apart from the above, Dorimu looks like any typical 8 year old child.
Bio: Dorimu is a child that had died in his mother's womb. However, his father was skilled in forbidden kinjutsu. At the cost of his mother's life, Dorimu managed to live; not quite in the way his father had intended. He attained all of the feelings of his mother at the moment of her death - hence, his perpetually smiling face and his desire to kill all men. His father kept him in a kind of quarantine for nine years, and on the ninth, the father died; Dorimu has not aged after that day. No one knows how long he has lived, but he now serves Baku entirely and devotedly.
Personality: He seems to have an endless desire to kill - more towards males than towards females, although women aren't exempted. Also, he is always happy and smiling, although his idea of cheerfulness isn't quite normal. He follows Baku blindly like a slave. Since his emotions are blank, he doesn't really feel anything apart from the aforementioned. Although very few people know of it, Dorimu has a death wish.

Description: Upon making eye contact with a person, Dorimu can activate this illusion. However, the illusion cannot be narrowed down to one technique; rather, it is a broad range of illusions. Dorimu casts these illusions randomly and in no particular order. Each of these cost enormous amounts of chakra; if he uses three illusions in one battle, he will die.

1. Dwarf: Dorimu can manipulate the size of things. This works for all matter. He can make himself appear larger, make his opponent appear tiny, make buildings look like toys, make dust specks look massive, etc. At its greatest, Dorimu can make the sky itself seem to compress and squeeze the opponent's breath away. Although he really does nothing to the foe, the fear of feeling the sky fall down upon you has a similar effect.

2. Agony: Dorimu takes the foe into his own self, i.e. he lets the opponent feel the deathly desires of Dorimu. The victim usually attains a death wish, and also gains a crazy desire to kill and shed blood. The victim's heart also slows down beating - it beats at the same rate as Dorimu's heart. This weakens the foe, and also makes it easier for Dorimu to manipulate his enemy.

3. Alone: Dorimu causes the entire area surrounding the foe's vision to turn black/white. This is it, really. The effects of the technique vary from person to person. E.x. Some may believe they are falling endlessly, some may believe the world has suddenly ended, some may believe that they have entered a state of Nirvana, etc.

4. Elegy: This is not a substantial illusion. However, it is frightening; after falling into this illusion, each and every sound that is received by the foe's ears is replaced with an extremely high-pitched scream. Nothing else is affected directly by this illusion, though varying degrees of craziness have been observed from victims.

5. Paradise: This illusion is used by Dorimu when he wants to flee/go away. It sets the opponent into the opponent's perception of 'paradise'. The illusion lasts for as long as the foe is in Dorimu's range of influence, i.e. his line of sight.

Name: Soyokaze

Appearance: Soyokaze has a bulky body, which, combined with his height, makes him look quite threatening. However, the calm look on his face wipes off all traces of fear one might have when seeing him. He was long, blue hair, which is neatly tied back in a ponytail - his hair reaches just above his bottom. He wears a loose-fitting, sky-blue, silk shirt, combined with silk pants. He has thick, dark-blue wristbands on either of his wrists.
Bio: Soyokaze was, for all his life, an honorable shinobi of the Aurora village. However, his likable demeanor earned him many enemies, and they conspired against him. When he was a powerful ANBU captain, he was kicked out of the village on false pretenses. His dignity caused him not to retaliate at all.

30 years old, he was still fresh and blooming; a powerful warrior. He began deep meditation, seeking the Gods' aid. He wanted to know what to do; what he had to live for. He prayed on for many, many weeks, until one day, he found himself at a shrine for the King of Storms; the Storm Dragon, Zennyo Ryuo. This appeased him; he prayed to the dragon for an entire night. His prayer was answered when the following morning, a terrible storm struck the area. Being blunt and noble as he was, Soyokaze didn't know that the storm meant that he was unwelcome to the Storm Dragon; therefore, he began calling himself the 'Storm Dragon's Apprentice'. In reality, he was more like a fan-girl.

Regardless, after about 3 years of his folly, the Storm Dragon decided to reward the sad soul. Soyokaze was gifted with a portion of the power of storms. Combined with his already-blasting prowess with water ninjutsu, this addition made Soyokaze one of the most powerful shinobi around. As the years passed, he honed the little skill he had with the Storm element, and in the process, forgot most of his water techniques. Despite all that, Soyokaze is still a formidable foe, and to this day, he foolishly follows the Storm Dragon. And no, he is yet to be accepted as an apprentice to the King.
Personality: Soyokaze is a respectable gentleman; chivalrous and honorable in all aspects. However, this does have its backfires - Soyokaze is overly trusting and is extremely gullible. He cannot lie, and he will do nothing to taint his dignity even a little. Being disrespected is something he cannot handle; he has emotional breakdowns whenever he is.

Description: Soyokaze unsheathes his sword and raises it to the sky, letting it be hit by the lightning from the sky and then dips the tip in the water of the ground. The blade will absorb both elements. Once that is done, Soyokaze raises his blade and slashes the air with it, horizontally or vertically; several blades made out of the storm element come out of it, slashing everything that's on it's way.

Description: Soyokaze focuses the Storm element within his palms, while keeping his fingers rounded, such that a circle is formed in his hand. As the chakra accumulates, it extends outwards and into a kind of long stick. These 'poles' can be thrown just like regular javelins, but they are infused with the Storm element. They cannot impale anything, but the element can conduct through metals; if an opponent attempts to block the javelins with any metal defense, the opponent will be shocked. Obviously, upon direct contact, the opponent will be shocked severely; even the most powerful shinobi will be forced to pause for a second.

Description: Soyokaze performs several hand-seals. From any body of water, he draws out the fluid and combines the lightning element with it, creating the storm element. However, the incomplete Storm formed from this fusion causes Soyokaze to lose control of the matter; the Storm extends randomly in a zig-zagging pattern, around a 10 m radius. It fades away after travelling 10 m. Not only can this technique backfire and attack Soyokaze, it can also impale through any living tissue. It is a very powerful form of the element, and can cause great injuries at mere contact.

The leafs are deep purple and blue, the bark is white with black lines. A bigger fruit is hanging out of all of them; it's the main spirit who guides the tree. It can take the appearance of a hanging man who talks and moves.
Bio: Nothing much is known of this phenomen. Except that it contains the spirits of 'bad children'.
Personality: Jinmenju doesn't think. He just acts when feeling danger coming until the main spirit drained enough blood from the enemy. Then, it'll act like a person who doesn't care nor feel and that reacts to only one thing: give it something and it'll exchange something for it. A soul for a soul, a branch for an arm, a root for a foot.

Appearance: Bakeneko looks like your average cat; brown striped fur with white patches here and there and a long, elegant tail. But don't be fooled, this cat isn't as auspicious as your pet. Bakeneko is a shapeshifter, changing at will to what he wants to ressemble, to who he wants to be. He has no limit into taking forms he wants, nor how much he weights or how tall he is.
Usually, he likes to take the form of a two tailed cat that walks on it's rear legs. He seems to smile all the time and harbor an evil glint in it's eyes. When satisfied with it's work, his smile turns into a devillish smirk, giving him a horrendous scary face.
Bio: In the early 17th century the Japanese used cats to kill off the rats and mice that were threatening the silkworms. During this time it was illegal to buy or sell cats. Most of the cats in Japan were set free to roam around the cities. Stories about these street cats became legends over time. There are many stories about the supernatural abilities of the bake-neko: talking, walking on their two rear legs, shapeshifting, flying, killing people, and even resurrecting the dead. Because of the stories about the bake-neko some Japanese people may have cut their cat’s tail off to stop them from becoming a bake-neko.
Bakeneko Yayoba was the last remaining cat with his forked tail and proudly showed it around, having never been caught. He got eventually kittens, who at their turn would harbor the blood of the Bakeneko's in their veins, transmitting the powers to their children and so on...Bakeneko Yayoba predicts that one day, his race would reign over the other youkai.
Personality: Bakenekoya is petty, full of himself and stubborn as a donkey. He likes everything that shines, like precious stones, has a great love for fish, fire and scaring people to no end. Always bragging, never shutting up and insulting every single creature that was not his master or one of the other Nine Youkai, he is considered as the most annoying under dog alive.

Description: Bakeneko breathes out weak but combustive flames. These are not very hot, and thusly do not harm any foe that much. However, it has a ridiculously great tendency to spread. Bakeneko usually uses this to cause his foe's clothes to burn to ashes. The speed with which the fire can be produced is also abused by Bakeneko; with his agility, he can irritate foes with light bursts of fire and heat from all angles.

Description: Bakeneko can spew a kind of powerful flame from his mouth; this flame is extremely combustive, and also very hot and corrosive. However, the main drawback of this is that without a fuel to let it spread, the flame only extends about an inch from Bakeneko's mouth. He cannot use this technique as he uses Spasmodic fire, because it takes about a second of stillness to spawn the flame.

This projection can pierce through skin, and about five seconds after release, the heat begins to evaporate out of the flames - as if the flame was a medium in itself. Personality: Katsura- otoko is a calm person. He always thinks before doing and is very aware of human's imperfections, having been one himself. He hates unnecessary talk and is very very straightforeward. He has an aura, an omnious aura that says everything that he thinks; only the real evil are capable of reading it and would probably blanch of all the curses that are to be found in it.
He always gets along with people who are cute and will treat those as he'd treat a cute pet. Regardless, he respects people who attempt to be friendly to him, and would love a friend apart from his rabbit.
But really, he is a man yearning for real love and peace; wishing to die like any other of his ancestors, tired of living this cruel torture of eternal life.

Katsura-otoko is the Moon God along with his rabbit. Long ago, before he even reached the moon, he was a man, a fisher. He fell in love with a goddess, a goddess of beauty. She fell in love with him too and planned to marry him. But he arrived before her at the party of the Gods, party where the peaches of eternal beauty, youth and life were given out. Tricked into a game, the man won and ate the goddess part, goddess who was hated by the goddess of the Sun. The goddess angered with the man's actions, brought her wrath on him and send him with his pet rabbit on the moon. But since he had eaten of the fruit, he couldn't die nor age. Goddess of the Sun pitied him and gave him the power over the sea, the night, the moon.
Since then the man lived alone, growing weary of all women and humans. He became so lonely that his hidden anger, he had buried so carefully in the depts of his soul resurfaced. Anger he needed to free. So he went on a rampage. Narurihyon stopped him from killing a woman, woman who had loved him in the time he was a man.
Broken and lost, the Moon God followed Narurihyon, who made a man out of him. As payment for his help, Katsura- otoko had to carry a flute with him, a flute that disrupted all weapons and obeyed to everything the Moon God had to say...

He's fairly handsome but has sharp features and he seems to look hostile most of the time. His hair is of a deep, warm brown, put in a bun on the top of his hair and his sharp eyes are of the same color, filled with deep running feelings and experience. His body is muscular and almost bulky, giving him the looks of a real warrior.
He wears traditional clothes from Japan, having fully adopted it's culture from the past; a long brown and red yukata with a brown sash and wooden sandals. He wears claws at his hands, using them fully for battle and daily life.
Bio: Kwon Ty Tcheung is a man who ate the flesh of a mermaid, granting him eternal youth and life. It was an accident, a happening that he regretted for all his life, even though he hadn't agreed to it. Having suffered since he was young of a disease, his father looked for the perfect medecine for as long as Kwon could remember.
The poor man, a fisher man, met a mermaid, old and ready to die. She told him that if his son ate her flesh, he'd get healthy. He believed her and fed his son. Sadly, the curse of the mermaids hit him and became unable to age anymore after his 35 years of human life. Kwon saw his father die happy, seeing that his son was living and healthy; Kwon couldn't curse his father for having made him immortal. It had been only a sign of love towards him after all.

He met Narurihyon after centuries of wandering around the world, learning about all martial arts he could find and learn. The head of the Youkai Procession took the man in and promised him to help him to find a way to die in peace. Kwon came to love the man, like he had loved his own father and later became the only man who could get along with the God of Lightning, Ikazuchi. Since then, he followed the Youkai loyally, never leaving their sides, having made of them his family.
Personality: Kwon is a patient man, who doesn't hold grudges and doesn't harbor any evil inside of him. He is calm and respectful, taking his responsabilities the fulliest.
He has a wild side though and has difficulties to accept people; he absolutely hates it when humans disrespect his superiors and harbors a great hatred towards bragging people. He also has a sadistic tendency of torturing his opponents by torturing them and pull out their teeth once they are on the ground.

Like Soyokaze, Hisao has a bulky body, which, combined with his height, makes him look quite threatening. However, his face that always wears a gruff expression and is covered with a large burnscar on the right side, breaks the perfect image. He was long, blue hair, which is neatly tied back in a ponytail - his hair reaches just above his bottom. He wears a loose-fitting, blood-red, silk shirt, combined with silk pants. He has thick, black wristbands on either of his wrists.
Bio:
Hisao has always been in his brother's shadow, never leaving his side and never surpassing him either. He had never thought about leaving him, nor discovering his own potentials. He was happy by just being like his brother. Even though he was always bullied, because of his gruff and scowling face, he was a pacifist, avoiding fights, having given him the names of "weak" and "coward".
When Soyokaze was kicked out of Aurora, he followed him loyally and not asking him anything. He trusted that he'd be with his brother forever. Sadly, when they turned thirty and Soyokaze discovered the Storm Dragon, his perfect world fell into pieces, shattering his heart and soul. It wasn't that Soyokaze had been selfish; it was because Hisao was incapable of living without a pillar to rely on in his life.
Wandering as a rounin for two years, he tried to find death, without success. In the end, he tried to kill himself at a volcano. Enenra, the Smoke Youkai, stopped him, fighting him in a battle that took place for five whole days. In the end, Hisao came out of it alive, scarred for life and having found a new person to follow; Enenra had taken a liking in him, feeling something tugging in her when she saw the young man.
Personality: Hisao, compared to his brother, is weakminded, needing a life and mental support to thrive further. But, he has many good qualities that he can exploit to the maximum when he has someone to lean upon; Hisao is smart, loyal, soft spoken and never gets angry or irritated. His open mind gives him many possibilities to learn but his shy attitude towards people and the lack of backbone he has, left him in many ignorances, ignorances that his master Enenra has exploited to her advantage.

He blessed her with the powers of the water, giving her the job to guard his person koi fish.
Happy and exaltated by the gift, she guarded them with great loyalty and care. She met Kashanbo at the small pond where the fish lived. The child like youkai and Awiti immediately became friends and she decided to serve him as she'd serve Narurihyon. Now, her dream would be to be able to stay with them forever in the rest of her life.
Personality: Awiti is a smart child, but very shy and scared of speaking out her mind. She loves fish and dolls, admiring them with all her little heart.
