The wish granted by the past {Gokudera & Ochita}

It had been several hours since Gokudera and Ochita had left the village, they had already passed through a series of paths through mountains. "So what was it you wanted to do while we where on this trip Gokudera?" He asked calmly.

The sun had begun to set, and the moon was just rising above the horizon. The colors of the sky was amazing, several shades or orange and red. The clouds where a beautiful pink color.

Gokudera, who had been thinking about the storm scroll and Superbi Squalo, snapped out of his thoughts when Ochita had spoken up.
Noticing he had taken some distance from the Kage, he ran up to the taller man and made sure his pace was up to his. The, he stuffed his hands in his pockets, twirling a dynamite bomb he had between his fingers.

"I got this storm scroll since a while and I have been looking up about it. I'd like to learn it, because of...a man whom I look up gave me a jutsu that needs that element. But, I need to learn the water and lightning element for that."
The teenager grew silent and ran a hand through his hair. Randomly asking something to the Kage wasn't as easy as he thought it was. Ochita might be the man he looked upon, but he was also one of the most dangerous people he had ever seen. Heck, a drunken Squalo was nothing about Ochita's wrath.
"Could you teach me the basic elements of Lightning and Water, Kage-sama?"

Ochita nodded, "You need to learn the basics of lightning and water...that's doable. I hope you know though, the training will be harsh at times...though because of it you will have greater control over it..." He said simply. His training techniques where never nice, it usually included telling his students how to do it then...attacking them constantly until they got it right, however he would likley have to change this slightly with Gokudera as to keep the young Jinchuriki from releasing to much of the Kyuubi's power.

Gokudera again had to put all efforts into not to jump around in joy like a kid. He wasn't a kid, really! He was -sixteen-, yes sixteen and an adult!
But he let himself give Ochita a 1000-wats smile along with sparkles in his eyes.
"Really, Kage-sama? Thank you so much!" he exclaimed.
And on that, he walked a little faster, humming a happy tune, waiting for some explanations from the older man about the training program.

The forest around him suddenly seemed even greener and nicer to be in. How could he have not noticed how nice it was to take a stroll between all those trees and listen to the birds who were singing nicely?
Ah, he did not regret following this man.

Ochita nodded, "When it comes to your training, the new elements...it will be difficult. With the water element especially, because of the kyuubi sealed within you and what kind of seal used, your chakra naturally wants to either preform normal jutsu or fire element jutsu. Because of this, splitting your chakra to learn two new elements will be difficult." He said simply, wondering how Gokudera will respond to this he continued walking while waiting for an answer.

Gokudera nodded silently, remembering his lessons about the Kyuubi in class, with Bianchi, Squalo and Lussuria. The she-man had always told him he was lucky to have fire, it being the most passionate element of all; as passionate as love. As if he cared about that! The stupid fox certainly didn't love him!

"Oh? I do love you very much, Hayato-kun." snickered the bijuu in his mind.
The silver haired teenager ignored him, kicking the doors of the inner prison and walked out of the cavern. He let himself lean against a wall and sighed silently, a frown on his face. He'd have to separate his chakra. Up til now, he had used that of the fox, not having any other choice. How was the Kage going to make that happen?

Coming back to reality, Gokudera glanced at the Kage, who was walking silently next to him, as a real sensei did with it's students. A vague feeling of peace washed over Gokudera, reassuring him somewhat.
"How will you do that, Kage-sama?"

Gokudera blinked at the answer, slightly taken aback by the fact his beloved Kage didn't know what to do to train him. But he decided not to question him about it - he wouldn't get any satisfying answers anyway.

So, he only nodded and followed his Kage silently, not losing sight of him but keeping a respectable distance between them.

Ochita and Gokudera had been travaling for several hours before they approached the ruins of the Sound village. "So I'm going to continue on and search for the lab...I want you to remain here, and work on controlling your chakra. You need to learn to only utilize your own chakra. So i need you to remove your headband."

After Gokudera removed his headband, Ochita pulled out a simple paintbrush and a small bowl of ink. Then releasing a small amount of his own chakra into the ink he drew a seal on his forehead. This seal would react when ever Gokudera began drawing on the Kyuubi's chakra and in turn sealing it off completely as well as sending a quick shook of electricity through Gokudera's body. "You must successfully be able to walk up that tree and walk over that water surface." He said pointing to a tall tree and a lake that stretched about 45 feet across.

After waiting for an answer he continued on to find the lab. However Ochita knew that there was a group of three low-chuunin level ninja about 25 meters to the west of where Gokudera stood, and it was likely that if they noticed him they would attack, but this was all part of Ochita's training method. If Gokudera couldn't survive this fight using only his own chakra...the he deserved to die.

"I'll be back tonight," Ochita said simply as he walked away silently in search of the lab.

Gokudera blinked at the rather sudden leave of his Kage after he had painted the seal on his forehead. He was tempted to touch it but in fear he'd erase it, he didn't.

Slowly, he took a cigarette out of his pocket and light it, inhaling the smoke thoughtfully. He had never tried walking up a tree before: he never felt the necessity to learn about that. Molding chakra had always been difficult for him even though he executed jutsus without much difficulties; the fox's chakra kept on disrupting in the middle of the process, making him concentrate even harder.

To try the seal out, Gokudera created a clone, the chakra slipping swiftly out of his body, creating the effect without any difficulty. He grinned, feeling much lighter without the extra red chakra.
"Don't cheer too early, kiddo." warned Kyuubi, growling.
Gokudera kicked against the door of the Bijuu's prison and ignored him, continuing his training.
He took a kunai out of one of his many pockets and prepared it in his right hand, while he pumped his chakra in his feet, ready to climb up for the first time...

It had been over an hour that Gokudera had worked upon climbing the trees up and he felt fatigue taking over him. It was as if his chakra reserve was non existent or barely worth anything.

It pissed him off actually, to realize how much he depended on the bijuu. It humiliated him, giving him a huge blow in his pride. He, who had always been able to keep up with jounin-level people, like, Squalo, Lussuria, -his- Kage, was reduced to the level of a weak genin, no, Academy Student.
Growling, he lit a cancer stick and inhaled the smoke sharply in. He hated being clueless and helpless like that.

He kicked the tree furiously, leaving the trunk half broken and splintered from the impact. Apparently, adding chakra in your feet or hands helped to strengthen your hits. But he didn't care for that right now. He felt that he'd have to increase his chakra reserves drastically. Especially if he would have to ba-

Kyuubi suddenly twisted and moved in his cage with a lot of noise, growling with it's deep voice. Gokudera kicked at the door of the cage, scowling.
"What now, fox?!"
"Three low-lives are coming, Kid. I'd rather not get killed if you're going to wear yourself out." Kyuubi snarled back. "Go prepare yourself to beat them. If you fail, your dear Kage wouldn't care less either way."
"And you do care, huh?"
"I like being alive." was the answer Gokudera got before the demon turned around, showing him his back. "I won't be able to help you this time, so be smart for once."
Hayato kicked the doors once more and went back to the real world.

He opened the second box of his Sistema CIA, revealing Uri, his first "summon", the baby jaguar. The usual greeting was for once forgotten, to Hayato's great relief. Having to deal with the continuous scratches on his face was a pain in the neck. Then, he opened the third box and the special cannon placed itself on his arm. He hissed when he felt the big chunk of chakra escaping from his body for the weapon. He wouldn't be able to use Exploding Lotus without bad consequences.

Uri hissed suddenly, breaking the silence of the forest. His little back was round and the red flames that surrounded his paws and came from his ears flickered dangerously. Gokudera immediately knew that the enemy was around.
He breathed in and out, calmly, gathering his spirit together and not letting stress or worry invade his mind. He had trained this case more than once and mastered his bombs since a long while ago. And they were going to taste them...

The chuunin were idiots. Complete and utterly idiots that didn't even work as a team. They were all three arrogant and foolish, trying to have a contest between each other to see who was the strongest.

Really.

Gokudera had never seen such morons before. Especially not chuunin morons. The first one was definitely a green horn who had just graduated: new jacket, new headband, new kunai and this stupid all-mighty smirk on it's face. God how much did he want to wipe it off it's face!
The second chuunin was the oldest and if not the most wasted of the three and also the most dumb looking one. Enough said. The third one was probably the one with who the fight would get most interesting. He was around his thirties and seemed to have some experience. But sadly, he was as stubborn and full of himself like his companions.

The jinchuuriki could only think one thing: 'Wtf are those people thinking?' And it was the right question to ask when the first chuunin, the oldest, charged at him, a kunai in his hand and his pace irregular and quite lanky. Gokudera only needed a single bomb to get him on the ground - it was lame and stupid because the guy from the fall and impact with the ground had fallen asleep.
Epic Fail. With a capital F.

The second chuunin, the middle aged one, used a better approach. He used a fire jutsu, some fire ball. Gokudera could hear the Kyuubi laugh inside of him. Gokudera would have to dodge that, but he would use his bombs to create a diversion thanks to the immediate explosion the fire would make upon contact. The genin's clothes grazed the fire but didn't lit on fire luckily. Gokudera threw the bombs on the jutsu, making a great deal of the battle ground explode, surprising the enemy. The kiddo actually fled - Gokudera had slipped two bombs in his pants while in the confusion.

The last chuunin had cursed loudly and come out of a hole, with his pants torn apart. He was pissed, that was for sure. He created a few bushin (idiotic move, really, bombs would get him either way) and started shooting fire again. Gokudera merely dodged, used to such irregular areas from his own training, while his opponent seemed to trip regularly. Really, had he forgotten he could jump.

But Gokudera decided not to give him anymore chances. He was feeling that he was tired already and had to finish this battle. He created a few handseals after having thrown bombs at the enemy.
"EXPLODING LOTUS!"

The blast was humonguous and Gokudera crashed through several trees and fainted.



When he finally woke up, it was evening and there were no traces left of the chuunin.
"Damn, kid, you broke a rib here."
Thank you Fox, for the nice compliment of having beaten three idiots up so that you can still live.

Gokudera groaned and slowly rose back up on his feet. His short rest had filled some of his chakra pools again. He suddenly realized why his teachers were shocked whenever he kept on executing one jutsu after the other without getting really tired -the Fox had given quite a good illusion of having almost infinite chakra pools like a Kage or Sannin had, making him think he was "oh so special". The surprise of discovering he was weak, annoyed Gokudera to a high point and made him feel pathetic.

He wanted to protect his village, Laria-sama, his Kage, their children and all those he had yet to meet and care for.
His ribs were painful and he felt his lungs being short on air. As if he cared. He breathed deeply in and moved his shoulders a little, making them crack painfully but feeling his muscles relax again, freed from the tense position. He had yet to walk on the water.

"It is quite easy to do, Kiddo. You just need to put a regular flow of chakra on your feet."
"I guessed that already, stupid fox. I read apparently and learned it before. So, shut it."
The fox "hmpfed" and grew silent again while Gokudera walked over to the water.

He placed a foot on it, a second one and kept on pumping regular chakra amounts in them. He needed to adapt how much he used - before he could add as much as he wanted, now he had to be careful to not to exhaust himself.
Gokudera decided he'd stay on the water, until his Kage came back, to show him he did well. He would be able to keep it up for an hour or two...he hoped.
