Appearance: Hikaru has blonde hair that has the same length as her brothers's, but in a different style. With her characteristic fair skin and blue eyes, and her rather slim, frail physique - and yes, even the same facial structure (although his a bit more manly) -, it would be difficult to tell her apart from Kaoru... if they were naked, that is.

Personality:

Hikaru and Kaoru are like echoing minds. They are one, in everything, from likes to dislikes, from habits to reactions. The only thing that would set them apart it would be their gender and voice pitch.
Ah, people would call those two as psychopaths, two children of the devil, who needs to be eliminated, two flowers of evil that needs to be cut and burned. But is that the true way to see them both? Kaoru is fairly different from the core from his sister. Hikaru would be the root of evil, Kaoru would be the flower of evil letting it blossom in full daylight.

Hikari is a soft looking person on the surface, delicate, a real girly girl who likes clothes, jewelry, cute stuff and everything else a little princess would want. But behind that facade, she is a cruel person, enjoying the pain of others, feeling fulfilled when she sees blood being spilled, even the blood of the beloved one of her brother.
She only cares for Kaoru and Kaoru only. It isn't incest, nor is it anything weird. Hikari is in fact an angsty teenager, who needs attention and love. Her mental health is very unstable and easily toppled off. She needs a constant support from her brother, only person she sees and considers as human...

She incapable, or very limited, to let another person enter her little world. She's the princess and Kaoru is the servant and prince in shining armor. Anyone who'd dare to open the portal of her world would be an enemy by default until that person proves itself as a trustworthy being. But most often, those people don't have the time to do so, nor the possibilities; or they get killed or they are by default an enemy because of the reason why they seeked the twins out. The only one who managed to get it, was Kurin from the Kaguya clan, the young man who took care of them as kids while never asking anything in return nor any acceptance. He simply became part of her background, a figure she knew who would be there to help them and care for them.

Hikaru, unlike her brother, never matured, never grew older and kept her mind of a little girl. She never had the thing that made her want to grow up, she always had everything she needed. She is incapable of understanding normal human needs, desires or common sense. She thinks that killing is a game and became quite skilled in it. Bad intended people always used her and her twin for that and rewarded them for being murderers.

But she isn't dumb either and realizes she is different from the others. And because of that, she grew jealous, jealous to a point that reached madness without a limit. Kaoru is the only person who she'll never grow angry or bitter to, she never blames him either for liking other people than her - instead she rejects all the fault upon the third party and will ask and order her twin to murder them, demand Kaoru always follow, loyal as he always is to her.

She has on great hatred: when someone calls her or (and especially) her brother are being called "trash". This is related to a childhood trauma, to which she never managed to get over. Once the word slips that person's lips to insult her blood, she entered in a blind rage and will fight without restraint that person until he/she or herself dies.

Combat Strengths:

Speed:

The Resonance twins are capable of transforming their Sound Chakra of their bloodline into pure speed, being able to break through the wall of sound in special circumstances. They are known for being unbeatable in their speed in their village and if not impossible to be caught by outsiders.
This is thanks to their Bloodline, Resonance.

Sound:

Hikaru is specialized into Sound Genjutsu. Sound genjutsu have the proprieties of hypnosis and affect the brain directly with sound waves. She uses her voice to create the sound waves and thanks to her modified chakra system, she can reach to higher pitches than any living animal or human can make, rivaling the greatest sound machines.

Chakra Control:

Again, thanks to her Bloodline, Hikaru has a great control of her chakra, which lets her have some endurance she otherwise lacks. This also means she can use high ranked jutsus without too much trouble.

Healing Abilities:

Again, thanks to her Bloodline Resonance, her healing abilities are slightly higher than that of a normal person. And because she enjoys torture, she learned a healing technique or two which she uses on herself and Kaoru to help them in battle.

Completing Minds:

Thanks to Resonance, she can not only hear sounds a human ear can't hear but she can also produce them, to communicate silently with her twin, Kaoru.

Sound Taijutsu:

The little of sound taijutsu Hikaru and Kaoru can muster is supplementary for them; it stuns or surprises the enemy enough to prepare their next combo or simple attack.

Combat Weaknesses:

Strength:

The Resonance people put all their strength into their speed and sound abilities, relying onto their bloodline for a great deal. Also, their body doesn't allow any strength manifestations except if one is specialized into Sound taijutsu.

Endurance:

Hikari and Kaoru's endurance aren't very good. It is merely because they work together and because of their great chakra control that they surpass a jounin in strength. Also, they need to eat a lot - without regular, proper meals, they are lacking their usual strength and concentration.

Elemental Ninjutsu:

Because of her bloodline Resonance, Hikaru is incapable of learning any sort of elemental jutsus and thus is weaker to them than a regular ninja.

Separation:

If separated from Kaoru, a great deal of her strengths disappear but she also becomes confused and looses all coordination.
