The King's Court [Open to... ANYONE!]

The sky was bleached white, with the scorching fireball that was the sun shining relentlessly from above. Even the blades of grass seemed to be sweating, such was the heat that was striking the country. But of course, the king was oblivious to it all. He was snug safely inside his whitewashed palace; the grand palace, the revered home of the richest and most bombastic people of the land of Kingstown.

But even the king was distressed. He had a queer habit of turning the pages of a book if he was presented with one; he wouldn't read a single word, but would bask in the stoic bliss of flipping pages. Whenever asked, he would say the 'smooth crunch of the page' was what consoled him. And it was exactly this that he was doing, sitting upon his lavish throne, the large court empty in front of him.

And it was exactly this that was boring him out of his mind. And it did not befit a man of such stature of himself to remian bored for such a while. It was rather demeaning.

He clapped both of his hands; out of nowhere, a dwarf (or rather, a dwarfed person) appeared in front of him, bowing so low he looked even shorter than he already was. This amused the king remotely, but it wasn't for this purpose that the dwarf had been called.

'Call the Court Jester!'

OOC: This is, obviously, by no means related to the site. I'm just really bored, and the site's activity is dying, so I thought of an amusing plot to keep the site going on. Anyone can join, but be sure to fit yourself into the story. :3 Feel free to add any details as you deem necessary.

The heat of this place was great, and it seemed like the people of this large kingdom sweated liked it was their job. he had arrived at this place in search of something or someone...he didn't really know, just a feeling tugging st him that compelled him to move. It had brought him here, to this large city, with it's large lavish white buildings and grand castle at it's heart. It seemed to glow in the light form the sun.

He thought it had been a mirage, no place like this could be in the middle of no where. He had been in the desert, and saw it from a far. A small jungle with a gleaming white city at it's center..had to be the sun playing trick with his mind. But here he was. And of course he had ended up in trouble here as well.

Upon walking through the massive ivory stone gates Ryo had come upon a man stealing. Ryo stopped him but before he could explain the story the local police, who seemed to be dressed like knights rather then shinobi, in fact...this place seemed nothing like the world he knew, being more medieval then the world he knew. Anyway they didn't appreciate Ryo who appeared to be 'causing trouble" and took him to the castle dungeon.

Not even 20 minutes in the place and he was in trouble...typical. How he got in this predicament was beyond him, but now he was being led down a hallway after being dressed in these ridiculous clothes atop his own, looking like some kind of clown topped with a hat with bells on it. Why him?! Four men lead him to a grand door, which gave Ryo chills, this was the most lavish and imposing door he had seen yet, only something great could be behind this.

And thus they were thrown open and the men leading him shoved him through into a grand room, superbly decorated with the most magnificent white marble complete with pillars and a large thrown sitting on the far wall. The man atop the Throne looked at him with a bored expression and Ryo could only guess what was to happen next as he looked back his expression shocked and in awe of all his eyes saw....

For the greater half of give minutes, the king simply waited with his eyes closed. And just like any other royal person, he lost his patience presently. He began tapping his nails against the arms of his throne; when that bored him, he began fidgeting around with his right foot.

By the end of five minutes, he felt so bored that even when the jester was pushed into the room, he wasn't in a slightest excited. In fact, he didn't even know that it wasn't the jester. It was actually an outsider who had breached the walls of his grand kingdom. But he didn't know that.

The king sat staring blandly at the rather scrubby looking person. He looked like a rock placed in the midst of the shiniest gems. But he was the jester. Perhaps his ragged state was to be used to amuse the king. Because indeed, he was slightly amused at seeing something different.

His mind mildly aroused, he stomped his foot on the ground quite loudly, and with a hoarse voice, commanded the man;

'Come on. Do cartwheels, or somersaults, or something. '
