BioThe Third Kazekage (三代目风影, Sandaime Kazekage; Literally meaning "Third Wind Shadow") was once the leader of
Sunagakure. He had the
unique ability to manipulate his chakra and convert it into magnetic forces allowing him to control
Iron Sand, this makes all magnetic material when used in combat against him unwise. He created this technique after studying the current host of
Shukaku at that time, and recreating it using his powers. It was for this very ability that he was noted as the strongest Kazekage in the entire history of Sunagakure. Under mysterious circumstances, the Third Kazekage disappeared before a war broke out. When
Sakura and
Chiyo met up with
Sasori during their attempt to
rescue Gaara, Sasori revealed that he had taken the Third Kazekage's body and turned him into one of his
Human Puppets. After a long, drawn-out fight, Sakura managed to destroy the puppet.
Abilities Iron Sand
A special technique used by the Third Kazekage. The Third studied a host of the One-Tailed Shukaku and learned to imitate the power to control sand. However, when he imitated sand techniques, he used iron dust instead, thanks to his special magnetic powers. He could use it to crush his opponents or even mold the sand into weapons. The Iron Sand can also clot up the joints of puppets, making them unusable in battle as long as the Third Kazekage's magnetic field is in effect.
When the Third Kazekage was turned into a Human Puppet, Sasori gained access to the Iron Sand abilities and imbued the sand with his poison. The puppet was later destroyed by Sakura Haruno and Sasori's grandmother, Chiyo.
Magnetism
Magnetism is a rare trait which is only seen used by a few ninja. However it was presumed that the Third Kazekage used Iron sand through Magnetism.
Sealing
Not much is known about the Third Kazekage's ability to seal, besides the fact that he had the ability to seals the One Tailed Shukaku with the help and support of Chiyo into a unknown host. It was Frequently mentioned he had a high chakra level which could match the Shukaku's Chakra, thus allowing him to seal it.

Sasori uses the Third Kazekage puppet to release a spike of Iron Sand at the opponent that then drills them into some rocks. Then, he makes a huge cube of iron sand fall on the opponent, crushing them.

Like the Sand Drizzle, this technique hardens the Iron Sand into countless small grains or a few elongated needles. These projectiles can then be used to attack simultaneously across a wide range. The magnetic repellent forces will speed them up in an instant, making them so fast they can barely be seen. The range and speed of this attack make it almost impossible to defend against.

While using the Third Kazekage puppet, Sasori makes it grab the opponent and lift them into the air. Then he controls the puppet to make small spikes of Iron Sand fly toward and stab the limp opponent before exploding, knocking the opponent backwards

This technique gathers a great volume of Iron Sand and compresses it into a high-density shape. This greatly increases the hardness, creating a gigantic steel-like weapon in an instant. The weight and size of these shapes are so great, they can easily shatter bedrock and break through most defenses with one hit.
Because the weapon is made out of Iron Sand, the shape can be whatever the user wants, and can even be changed during the fight. This allows the user to create the best weapon for the fight, by taking into account the opponent's abilities and the surrounding environment. Since the Iron Sand generates a strong magnetic field, the opponent cannot use any metal weapons or tools.
Two shapes have been shown:
• The Giant Spear (巨大槍, Kyodaisō): by forming the Iron Sand into a triangular, spindle-shaped object and tapering it into a sharp point at one end, the user creates a giant spear.
• The Giant Hammer (巨大鉄槌, Kyodai Tettsui): by forming the Iron Sand into a large rectangular shape, the area of contact is increased greatly, creating a giant, hard-to-evade hammer.
• The Gaint Arm (巨大犬 ,Kyodai Tsume): by forming the iron sand into a large arm like shape, The third Kazekage creates a long and large claw of iron sand.
• The Giant Fang (巨大犬, Kyodaikiba): by forming the iron sand into a funnel like shape, The Third Kazekage creates a large spike in air which he sends crashing down at the target.
• The Giant Casualty Beheader (巨大死者傀 首斬 Kyodai Shisazan): by forming the iron sand together in the shape of a long and sharp blade, The Third Kazekage sends a death breaking massive iron sand sword toward the target.
• The Giant Multiple Spikes (巨大多サ Kyodai Tajugo): by forming the iron sang in the shape of multipel spikes, The Third Kazekage sends all of them crashing down at teh target,
Iron Sand World Order (Satetsu Kaihō)

This jutsu uses Iron Sand to create a gigantic sphere of branching spikes. The user creates two masses of Iron Sand with opposite polarities and then merges them together. This causes the magnetic forces to instantly increase and the repellent force created by the two opposing magnetic fields scatters the Iron Sand across a vast area.
The Iron Sand spreads in spikes that branch off irregularly, making it almost impossible to get a clear overview of what is happening. This also makes evading the spikes nearly impossible. Even if the opponent has managed to evade getting hit, the Iron Sand spikes will have filled the entire surroundings, cutting off any escape routes. With the opponent trapped, the user is free to attack in person.
Iron Sand Angel Wings (Satetsu Tenshiyoku)

The Kazekage releases iron sand around his body, forming it into a span of wings from his back. From these wings the Kazekage can lift himself into the air.
Trivia• Many have speculated the Third Kazekage to be a remake of the Yondaime Hokage from the Sand Village
• It is noted int he Third World Data Book that the Third Kazekage's name is Kaiho Hirusuna
• Kaiho (界法) can be translated as World Order, which is a name of one of his attacks, while Hiru (ヒルコ) and Suna (砂隠) can both be put together to say "Leech Sand" Which symbolizes how his Iron Sand Drains Chakra. Whent he two names are put together, Kaiho Hirusuna (界法 ヒルコ砂隠) it can be read as World Order of Leech Sand.
