A Newcomer's Challenge

Rin walked around the training area, bringing her weapons and prepared to battle. She was hoping that someone could challenge her for a match. The decision on what weapons to bring took some time, but she finally made her choice. She smiled and sat on the ground as she prepared her Futatsu Hari under her sleeves and patiently waited for someone to walk up to her and challenge her.

Weapons brought to this battle:
Futatsu Hari
X5 Senbon
X1 Thin Iron Wire
X3 Firecrackers
X2 Sleep Powder
X1 Hallucinogen

{walks in to training area}

"well lets see what ya got"

OOC:can you describe the are a we fighting in so I can use the enviroment appropriately

OOC: Sure, why not?

Area: A densely forested part with scattered trees and not much sun penetrating the leaves. The ground is grassy and a bit muddy.

Rin looked up at him and nodded. "Sure, let's have a nice fight...." she stood up and dusted her pants. "Now, let's start..." she jumped up onto a branch, using the shadows from the trees to hide. She jumped from one tree to another, unnoticably unwinding the wire and tying it to the branches.

{neo looks around nonchalontly as he then goes to a the muddy floor and touches it and doesn't something unknown to Rin's eyes but when he leaves there is a small hole in the ground.He then walks to a nearby tree and slams his hand on it as he makes a tiger seal wit hhis other hand and sand comes rushing out of his sleeve and coats the tree and then dissapears}

"she seems very tatlented I can't take any unessasary risks"

{Neo takes out his sword as he jumps from branch going straight up to the top of a tree}

Rin looked at the sand-covered tree. "Heh... An impressive move... I need to be more careful." she finished unwinding the wire and she jumped off the branch, showing herself. "Well, here goes...." she sighed and performed a couple of hand signs while waiting for her opponent to attack.

OOC: Just a reminder, you can't see the wire^^

OOC:I know but the tree that had the sand on it you can't see the sand dissapeared!

{neo gets to the top of a tree and looks at the sky}
"so bueatifull and no one looks at it anymore"
{he closes his eyes as he jumps throught the branches to an area where no branches are blocking the fall to the floor head first to the ground with his eyes still close}

OOC: But she was watching you while she unwound the wire O.o I know that the second I let my guard down, I'm finished ^^

Rin watched him falling and shw smiled. "This is the perfect opportunity... Trap segment one..." she jumped up and broke a part of the wire, making a firecracker fly towards Neo and explode multiple times.

{as the firecrackers's smoke settles and big glomp of sand falls to the floor as Rin's eyes open wide to this astonishment neo bong appears right behind (in her blind spot) and with sword in hand he attempts to stab he right inthe back(in spine instant kill)}

Rin closed her eyes and smiled. "Hmm, trying to finish it so soon?" she jumped up to avoid the stab and looked at him in the eyes as she turned around and finished the last part of her hand signs. "Illusion Art: Taiyou!" she said as she trapped Neo in an illusion where he is surrounded by a blinding light.

"I don't like to finish stuff fast just wanted to see what you would do"

OOC:I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news but you were already in the air when you broke the wire you jumped so I caught you in air also since I'm in ur blind spot u cud no I was there unless u can sence chakra or auras or I talked but still forget that lets go on!I like testing my capability!

{with the blinding light everywhere neo suspects this a genjutsu along with incantaion from Rin was illusionary art so neo closes his eyes and stops his chakra for the most minute secound to stop the genjutsu since an academy student did it,it wasn't that hard to get out of.But neo w8s for the counter attack}

OOC: Ohh, I didn't know that O.o And I sensed you because movement=either a gentle wind or a quiet woosh sound.

"Hmm... Fighting a Chuunin was as tough as I expected..." she pulled out a vial and her Futatsu Hari. Then she put the fluid on the needles and spun the needles around to spread it.

{he then ran toward he putting a sand shield infront him to him with a spike coming out the middle that neo tried to stab her with}

Rin jumped back to avoid the stab and then threw a firecraker at him for distraction. While it was exploding, she jumped up and landed behind him and tried to make at least a small cut with her needles.

{as the firecracker goes off I kick at the shield sending it flying and me going back onto a branch but as Rin lands behind me on the same branch to attack me with her needle.But as u swing the needle sand comes out the tree and grabs her hand and starts to creep up her legs}
"hahahaha Rin look at this tree,look fimiliar?It's the tree I put sand inside.I puropsly made you land there.Lets see u get outta of this?Don't forget u can always give up!"

"I don't give up that easily..." Rin smiled and before the sand can completely cover her feet, she kicked her feet up in the air so that she is standing with her hands. Then, she spun around, almost breaking her arm. Some strange powder filled the air and it had a really sweet scent. Rin held her breath and her body landed roughly on the ground. Her arms are badly injured now.

{neo started to smell a sweat gracfull smell and began to laugh}
"I don't know what this is but it's not gonna save you,but I'll make a deal since ur injured I'll stop using sand that I have control of and any jutsus"
{neo takes out his kusurigama ah he hook it in to a tree and jumps down to the floor approximatly 4 yards from Rin}
"hey you can always use the traps you set up there in the begining but I guess it's too late"
{neo pulls on the Kusarigama to lach off the tree into his hand as he throws it alittle past her head then pull on it rather hard }

"That sweet scent..." she smiled. "Is a mixture of sleep powder and a bit of hallucinogen... You'll be out like a light in a few minutes... All I have to do is survive..." she stood up weakly and jumped to another branch, barely making it because of her injured arm.

{neo starts to laugh}
"well lets see if you can survive"
{as neo stumbled alittle the throws 4 kunai to where Rin is 4 shuriken above her and throws his kusurigma below the branch where she was on}
"get out of this"

Rin sighed and looked up at the shuriken. "Well, better take the one with the least damage on me..." she jumped up and blocked the shuriken with her arm, wincing a bit. "Oww... At least I avoided the kunai and the kusarigama..." she landed on her feet on another branch and threw a firecracker and two senbon at Neo with her less injured arm.

{neo makes a unbothered face a he jsut walks away from the area the needles and firecraker is going,as he put chakra to his feet and slowly walks up a tree close to Rin}
"you can give up anytime soon,don't forget!"

"I won't give up until I can't fight anymore...." she sighed as she held her last firecracker. "You're my only hope now..." she put the firecracker in the bag of sleep powder. "I hope this works..." she charged him head on and before he can attack, she threw the bag towards him and jumped away as the firecracker exploded and sleep powder was spread all around him.

I watched from a tree nearby hoping to not be detected by Neo. I was watching how well or not well this young academy student was going in their spar.

Hm, against Neo huh? Well that is one tough fight, but I have nothing but complete faith in her that she might win.. hm.. I wonder what will happen...

I continued to watch perched up on the tree branch, looking at her attack with the firecrackers and her charge. I studied everything, her angle, and her dynamics. Her form, and power. It was surely a good attack, I just needed to think it through.. to see if it would actually penetrate his sand shields.

Hm, interesting attack I see, with firecrackers. She's got determination and guts, I'll give her that, and impressive smarts, power and speed for an Academy Student. Her bravery is good too, not being afraid to rush into battle like that, and until she can't fight anymore, she will. Well, I might say that she reminds me of someone I knew when I was little. And someone that was very close to me... my mother. Sakura... Haruno... as well as me... Seirei Sora..

Rin was panting now. She was slowly losing chakra and she has almost reahed her limit. "Hah... I need to survive this fight... just until he falls asleep from the sleep powder...." then she sensed a presence in the training grounds. She shrugged and kept her guard up, it might be just her imagination.

I smiled to know that she knew I was there. Her sensory was just as good as mine was when I smaller and younger like her. I knew that she would prosper into a great ninja. I stood there in the tree, watching her rough it out at least until the sleeping powder she put on him took affect. I did not want to interfere, because it wasn't my place to, it was their fight... however I had her back in case. I would take Neo on if he got out of hand.

I sense great potential in this young girl that fights here on this very field. She's doing well, and against Neo, not bad. That is a hard fight, I don't think I could even beat neo myself. She's got sleeping powder which helpps. She thinks with her mind while already doing the next move... which means she can think on her feet. That's important to have when you're of this day and age and uprising as a ninja. Hm, this girl interests me... and I think she will go far. I would like to know what her dreams are.. .hm... maybe I will ask her. But first, I must watch more of this fight... it is interesting..

I moved to a different tree almost instantly and watched from there perched on a branch holding onto it with my chakra. And, when the fight was over, I would applaud her, let's just hope I didn't lose my balance and fall right on my head.. ow. ^^''

Rin turned to look at the person perched on the tree. She smiled and chuckled. "Hmm, so my mind wasn't playing tricks on me at all.... There really is someone watching... I just hope that there will be no interference, this fight is getting better and better...." she revealed her Futatsu Hari, two five inch needles, from her sleeves. She was ready to counterattack when necessary. Her arms were getting a bit better now.
