The Return of the Darkness...Enter Emanyeru Ai Kouseitan'i, Demon of the Bloody Darkness!

The ground crunched heavily under his heavy steel toed boots as Emanyeru padded down the dirt trail to the legendary Kronos City. The city loomed in the horizon like a stark reminder of what he used to have as he noted the disappearance of any Nin in the area, 'Hmph best not to kill the locals...yet...' (59)

His travels had taken him around the world, allowing him to see everything once more as he had seen it thousands of years before, It seemed like a fairy tale to him, the world in peace when it needed to be in utter chaos, it was...sickening to see happiness. He detested humankind greatly, but he detested happiness even more. It seemed to be a trait that he picked up from his overly destructive father all those years ago. (79)

The air rumbled as signs of a weather front approaching from the west signaled themselves to him, allowing him to tell that it would be several hours before the storm approached giving him enough time to do what he had to do and finish it before the downpour began. It irritated him how much water affected his body. It was not enough that water steamed when it came in contact with his exposed skin but it also chilled him a little. And that pissed him off, to have a weakness of such a thing as cool water, was severely laughable. (100)

Luckily no one knew about that so it was fine. He sighed lightly as the temperature rose several degree's, he knew it was the warm air front being compressed by the two cold air fronts surrounding it that was causing the air to heat up. Compressed air always warmed faster than relaxed air as it had more energy. He rolled his eyes at the random thoughts that flitted through his brain as though they were comical pretenses hiding his somewhat nervous side. Sadly for whoever thought that he had a nervous side, they were wrong. (105)

His approach on the village, was about as subtle as it could be, he didn't alert any of the guards of the danger, nor did he attract any attention. He looked like a normal dark skinned male of an abnormal height who seemed to be on a travel and needed to head inside before the rains came. He navigated the streets and side alleys blindly as he looked for the village center and smiled softly as he nodded to the passing villagers. His nice attitude was a mask although as he didn't want to alert any of the villagers of his plans just yet. (105)

He stopped at the bottom of the steps to the mayor's palace as he began to go through a long series of handseals. It was seemingly subtle as he nodded and smiled to the passerby's who thought he was just playing ninja like the younger ones did. He didn't have any defining signs of a ninja, except for the fact that he was alert, and slightly more athletically built than others, but other than that he didn't look like a real ninja, so what was the point of worrying. (89)

His handseal stopped on boar as his shadow darkened slowly, it seemed to flash into a mirror image that was only visible by Emanyeru as the sky darkened softly. It seemed as though the clouds were rolling in hours earlier than they were supposed to, yet...there was not a cloud in sight. This caused several villagers to look up in awe as it grew darker and darker. It was no where near evening, in fact it was half past noon. Yet it was growing darker and darker by the second. Pretty soon it was pitch black out. The villagers still stood there in awe as the mayor ordered the lights to be shut on early. (118)

With the lights on and the sky completely dark, Emanyeru decided that enough was enough and began to spread the darkness to cover the entire nation. His breathing quickened slightly as such a task took a huge amount of effort, but he completed it none the less. He strode up the steps to the mayor with a grim look on his face as he slipped a poisoned kunai in his hand. The mayor looked on with shock evident in his eyes as he watched the young man approach him, death screaming from the depth's of his eyes.

Emanyeru made quick work on the mayor, ending the mans life with a kunai to the jugular vein. He did it while his body was blocking the view of the action so it would not alert the people. The mayor gurgled softly as blood rushed up his throat before he finally died and dropped into Emanyeru's arms. Emanyeru keeping up with the show carried the dead man back inside the building leaving the villagers to ponder what had just happened.

Emanyeru locked the doors behind him and bypassed the secretary who was ultimately silenced when she wouldn't stop bugging him. He laid the man in the closet and strolled to the mans desk to sit in a rather lush and luxurious chair, "Now then...to remove or change all of these persons into loyal servants...". He stood up from his as he walked onto the balcony that was attached to the office. He went through a series of hand seals and smiled as the darkness began to drift lower and lower towards the ground, eventually blotting out all signs of light except for those in the houses.

The pedestrians in the streets stopped suddenly as their vision was hindered by the increased darkness, groping around blindly in the dark. Scuttles were heard in various parts of the villages as grotesque beings clambered their way through out the area. Screams were heard throughout as villagers were attacked by unseen assailants. Pretty soon, the screams were heard in stereo as the homes were broken into and assaulted. By time it was the evening, the entire village would either be dead, maimed, broken mentally, or prepared for the worst.

Daybreak came with the same never ending darkness that held on throughout the entire night. It seemed like it would never end as the remaining survivors tried to stay in the light with groups of others by huddling in candle lit rooms. Several families prayed to their gods for protection from whatever was attacking them as others simply gave up and snuffed out the lights after whispering their final goodbyes. Death came swiftly for them as the remaining flickers of light revealed the shadows of death before them. Those who choose that path smiled with happiness as the end came for them.

Emanyeru's sadistic side came out all of a sudden as the screams died down into terrible horrified moans of pain and anguish. He smiled and relished the fact that soon his village would be back, and his empire back to full strength. He looked over to the map that graced the wall and studied it softly, "First stop...Ash...", He flicked a single kunai into the dot which marked the village before turning back towards the balcony and leaping onto the banister. "The time to act is now...", with that he jumped, though he was not visible for more than a second before his presence disappeared from the village.
