Closer and Closer

The Uchiha had not waited another chance to counter-attack and had struck down with lightning at the Sand ninja. That whole counter attack proved the swiftness and reflexes of the sand ninja. The four swamp defenders had to use their number advantage to attack him from multiple sides and trap him.
The sand ninja though had made a mistake - he had created a mist around himself. Shinji knew well to fight in a mist and his hearing was trained since the time he joined the Hunter nin corps but...

What if that mist was not the same mist Shinji created what if it could devour you or suffocate you or disintegrate you into flames. Those were questions that Shinji would want to answer without rushing into that fog. Their opponent was strong and who knows what else he could have hidden in his sleeve.

Unlike Yahiko and Raijin who attacked, the senju in an attempt to trap the sand ninja and send him to hell with water along with Raijin, Ryo and Shinji simply stood on the rock. This was a good idea and Shinji realized his saviour was pretty smart for his age. They both knew that the four of them should not attack simultaneously but progressively so every step the sand ninja takes maybe a step to his doom.

OOC: Yahiko will post today. He just came back from vacation and finished finals. I'll post after him.

Yahiko stood just a three meters from the mist. he stepped forward and was making his way into the mist until he thought about something. The sand ninja specialized in fire techniques. There was a chance that this mist had the power to melt the skin right off bone or burn the skin really bad. As he stood there he felt a sudden chakra impulse coming from deep inside the mist. Yakate must have used another technique. "Hmmm..Something isnt right." Whispering to his comrade. His eyes shifted to the corner. The two other ninja were safe on the mountain still. Yahiko looked back into the mist trying to think of a way to get through the gas.

After thinking it through, he slowly and quietly placed his palms together and channeled chakra into the ground. In just a few moments the Uchiha was going to witness the beauty of the Mokuton. Deep in the soil, roots were surfacing. Struggling to emerge from beneath the compacted earth and quicksand, roots intwined and with a powerful force emerged. A forest was being created before everyone present. Rising branches rose with such speed and power that the mist was beginning to disperse. When Yahiko finished over 1 kilometer of land was now an ocean of trees. Yahiko now had an advantage and a plan. He jumped onti the trunk of one tree and ran into the canopy above.

Raijin crouched down beside Yahiko, peering deep into this mist. The Sharingan scanned the area from side to side like a surveillance camera, trying to pick up a faint chakra color. Nothing, there was nothing. He clenched his fist, beginning to get aggravated. The Senju walked towards the mist but stopped just when he was going to enter the ominous mist. At that moment there was a blue flash; it was Yakate's chakra. What a powerful impulse that was. Then it happened, not too far ahead, on the surface of the ground within the mist, a flood of blue chakra spread out. There's something wrong with the ground. His chakra is covering the soil...

It didn't end there, the Senju performed a Mokuton technique, one of the strongest. Trees emerged from the ground below, breaking through the hardest earth. With the rising branches and leaves creating winds, the mist stood no chance against the winds. A forest was created right there on the spot! This must have been how Hashirama created the forests bordering Konohagakure. Taking this chance to get across, he jumped onto a rising tree and disappeared into the canopy with the Senju. From there he rested on a branch and created a Lightning clone, sending it in the direction of the chakra detected before.

Raiton Kage Bunshin no Jutsu - Lightning Element Shadow Clone

Raiton Kage Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes lightning to create a Kage Bunshin clone. Because it is a Kage Bunshin, the Raiton version shares the ability to interact with the environment due to it having physical substance. This allows the clone to carry out limited attacks on its target. If the Raiton Kage Bunshin is injured, the clone will revert into its natural lightning state. Like in other Lightning Element attacks, should the target come into contact with the electricity, they will be momentarily stunned.

Han moved gracefully through the marshes and swamps; already he had wasted an hour and half of valuable time. Three men were following not too far behind. ”Keep up with me! If you fall behind, I will not wait for you!” The men nodded and sprinted as fast as they could, trying to keep up with their Kage. Han could sense the presence of Sand shinobi near his village, but he was sure that Kurin, his most loyal and strongest shinobi that served under the village military and not the rebels, would protect the village from any threat. There were also Kurin’s underlings, the extra Kaguya, and the twins.

As much as he wanted to go to the village to see what was going on at that location, there were other chakra signatures not too far from Han. They were all strong! Unfortunately, there was no telling how many enemies there were going to be until he got close enough, but he was going to have to take a risk. ”Faster! We must hurry! I wouldn’t want to miss a good battle!” Han’s teeth grinded against the mouth piece, he was excited! Very excited! There was a good chance that Sand sent some of its strongest shinobi, so there was sure to be a challenge.

Already running for ten minutes the chakra signatures were about two hundred meters away; two to his left (Ryo and Shinji) , two directly ahead (Yahiko and Raijin) , and one to his right (Yakate). Something was different about this area. Han had never come across a forest in his marshlands and swamps, this was the work of a shinobi, a Senju. Han and his followers shot up onto a tree branch. ”Stop!. All of the men, including Han, had halted instantly. ”You three stay here and make sure no one leaves this side of the woodland. I will go in and engage the enemies in combat. The Gentle Oak is among them so this should be interesting….” He smirked and shot forward, heading into the battle area.

Closer and closer, the chakra signatures of all in the area were defined. He could make out two familiar chakras but not the other three. One was that of Shinji Hattori, another loyal shinobi and one of the greatest assassins of Swamp. Although young, he has much experience in the arts of battle. The other was Yahiko Senju, a powerful shinobi who belonged to the Senju clan and possessed the Mokuton release. He is the leader of the rebellion and one of Han’s many problems. The Kage was going to have to take caution against the three and Yahiko. Below he could see what appeared to be Sand and some clearing mist, which meant that there were Sand shinobi too, probably the other three. Whatever the situation was, Han was here to fight!

yahiko look at his surroundings he watched his comrades as he knew they had a plan and he was exhausted from waisting so much stamina and chakra. "just a bit more and this ninja will be gone" just as he spoke he saw smoke coming from the very forest he created. he rushed to the scene knowing that his comrades once here would be un able to breath and be killed by suffication "he planned this out well i guess i have to use my remaing energy to put out the flames and watch my back" he formed hand seals and ask raijin to cover him while he put out the flames .

Suihashu - Water Wave Hand

Suiton • Suihashu is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Water Element. The ninja will raise their hand into the air and emit a continuous jet of water to disrupt the opponent's attacks. Due to the nature of water, this attack works especially well against smoke based jutsu.

Raijin immediately followed Yahiko, heading in the direction of what appeared to be smoke rising from the swamp floor. Was the enemy trying to smoke us out or cause a wildfire? Perhaps it was both. Raijin and Yahiko had gone far enough. From atop the tree branch they could see the fire below eating away at the bark and releasing a black smoke. The Senju didn't waste any time and used a water technique. From the palm of his hand shot out a jet stream of water. Incredible, he was battling the fire after using such a technique of high caliber. "It's best if you stay here and take out the flames. Your chakra is running low so be sure to rest. I wouldn't want you dying, after all, you will be my opponent soon and we must retrieve the Rokubi."

Not too far from where Raijin and Yahiko were a clone was camping. The lightning clone had been watching Yakate's latest actions, using the sand that it had seen trailing down the trunks of the trees to get to him. When Yakate had attracted his sand, the clone made sure to follow. Quietly crouched on a lower branch, the clone stalked Yakate until the sand ninja decided to retreat and ascend to safety. Gathering the information was simple, now it was time to return. The clone quickly turned back and sprinted to Raijin.

In less than a minute, the clone was at Raijin's side. "The enemy was last seen ascending to the sky on what appeared to be a platform of sand. He must be taking safety up there." Raijin nodded and watched as the clone dispersed, leaving a current of electricity behind. "So he's somewhere up there huh? Me and Ryo will handle this guy Senju. We have to hurry because a strong chakra signature is closing the distance. It could be an enemy."

And so the Uchiha left the Senju behind; he jumped up onto many branches, hoping to find a hole in the canopy. In the background the sounds of thunder crackled. A rainstorm was drawing near. All of the accumulated heat in this area must have warmed the atmoshere, causing air currents to rise and generate the dark clouds. This was perfect! Raijin continued ascending till he found a small gap in the canopy. There he could scan the skies and hopefully see Yakate's chakra.

High up in the sky, a large chakra source was viewable. This was too large to be Yakate's body chakra so it had to be the platform of sand. Raijin performed hand seals and fired three large dragon heads made entirely of super heated fire. The blazing heads burned straight through the gap and the surrounding leavesand were all directed at the sand mass above. Raijin was out of breath, he deactivated his Sharingan to save up chakra. He jumped down onto a lower branch and rested, ready to fight if when the time was right.

Gouryuuka no Jutsu - Great Dragon Fire Technique

Katon • Gouryuuka no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Fire Element. After forming the needed hand seals, the ninja will expel dragon head fireballs at their opponent. These powerful fireballs can punch through concrete.

Han was approaching at high speeds, making sure not to miss one bit of the battle. Seven meters away, to his right, there was rising smoke and the sound of running water. Han quickly moved towards the source of the sound only to find a weakened Yahiko fighting against the fire. "Yahiko, I can't believe you're in this state. You're suppose to be one of Swamp's greatest shinobi." Han looked around before turning towards the spreading flames. "Creating this forest was a mistake; you are not yet on the level of Hashirama. Rest. Do not waste any chakra. I will handle this and defend my village.

The Kage suddenly went through a string of hand seals and lowered his mouth piece, opening his mouth and expelling a large volume of brown colored water. Waves of water crashed alongside the trunks of trees, instantly putting out the fire. Enough water was produced to flood the entire areaottom sections of the giant trees were submerged in the swamp water. He then raised his mouth piece and looked at the darkening clouds. Three unknown chakra signatures, two above, and one to Han's far left. "Show yourself and prepare for the worst!! His right hand moved to a small blade on the side of the mouth piece and moved across it, inflicting a small cut. Blood leaked out of the rip on the glove. Han held a seal and slammed both hands on the tree bark, causing a large cloud of smoke to surface.

A large shadow dropped into the water below, crashing with enough force to generate large waves. Whatever had fallen now lurked in the depths below. The sound of thunder was like music to Han's ears, he enjoyed it. And then it began, a drizzle that would develop into heavy rain. All Han could do was look up at the sky and wait for his opponent to show.

Suwanpu Sakusei - Swamp Creation

Kuchiyose no Jutsu • Surudoi - Summoning Technique • Surudoi

Kuchiyose no Jutsu • Surudoi is a summoning technique utilized by Han. After performing a short set of hand seals, Han will slam his hands on the ground, summoning forth Surudoi. Surudoi is a massive alligator, about fifty six feet in length and thirty nine feet in height. This monster is capable of crushing boulders with just twenty five percent of biting force in use and can demolish small houses with one swing of it's tail. Not only can this behemoth swim in any kind of water, it can also travel underground. The scales that surround its body can absorb electricity, therefore Lightning attacks are useless against it.[/spoiler]
